Walnut Grove Coop

Walnut Grove Coop We are a cooperative group of homeschool and unschool families from Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, & New Jersey.

We provide opportunities to our children to learn in a mindful, inclusive, secular community through fun classes, clubs, and field trips. Walnut Grove Coop was "born" to support whole-child learning with a non-religious program. Sure we all have our beliefs, but we value diversity. We agree to co-create meaningful experiences for children and parents. We hire teachers who share our values and passions. We nurture self-reliance and interdependance. We support "one-stop" education for families by offering inclusive activities from birth through high school. We draw inspiration from Waldorf Philosophies and Mindful Education. In every macrocosm, there is a microcosm -- we all do our part to support this community and to enrich conscious citizens.

Our Tradeschool & Unschool students built this incredible AR (Augmented Reality) sandbox from scratch!

An AR sandbox is an interactive play table that uses a overhead camera and projector to cast colorful, real-time digital maps onto physical sand. As kids dig and reshape the sand, the system instantly updates to create virtual landscapes.

We are ready to kick off another wonderful year of learning at Walnut Grove Coop!

🌹Tuesday Families: Rose Ceremony
TUESDAY 9/15 10:00am-12:00pm meet in the Red Room
Returning Families remember to bring your Roses back!
New Tuesday Families will receive a Rose and learn about our Rose Ceremony upon arrival. There is nothing you need to do but be on-time.
All will return to the Red Room after the Rose Ceremony for parent orientation at 11:00am while children go to the playground with staff.

🌳 Wednesday & Friday Families: Wishing Tree Ceremony
WEDNESDAY 9/16 10:00am-12:00pm meet in the Red Room
All families will meet in the Red Room then move to the Wishing Tree Ceremony.
All Families will return to the Red Room after the Wishing Tree Ceremony for parent orientation while children go to the playground with staff.
