om start to finish. Rosario decided to receive her education from the famous Fashion Institute of Technology in NY. While there, she furthered her studies in Fashion Merchandising and after graduation, she worked for multi-million dollar companies and a multitude of designers as a Master Patternmaker. Eventually, she left working for others and worked for herself by launching her own Childrenswear Line in her NY 7th Ave showroom. The line sold to many buyers but Ms. Rosario noticed an overwhelming desire to teach. She continued her Childrenswear line but also became a licensed instructor at a New York technical school. Still unsatisfied, she did some self therapy to figure out what was missing and then it hit her! Even though she graduated top notch from FIT, worked as a Master Patternmaker, designed & manufactured her own line, and even became an Instructor; there was a gap from the classroom to the showroom. What she learned in the classroom gave her a wealth of knowledge but what she learned in the industry taught her what the classroom had failed to. Desiring to give each student the chance to learn the proper mix of classroom and industry training, she opened her own school, hence the birth of Fashion Design Training Studio located on the boarder of Bloomfield and Newark. Today, her love for fashion continues in teaching and in patternmaking as she still offers her patternmaking services to anyone who needs a pattern made for their very own special design. She is now satisfied in knowing that each student is properly trained AND that she has made Mom proud!
