Some additional information regarding our BRIDGEworks Enterprise area and how these staff members will be assisting our students in this area. Students will work on individual skills and partial transition to other enterprise areas within Networks for smaller amounts of time. Over time our goal is to have students continue to increase the amount of time in that enterprise area until they are able to spend the entire time there based on their individual progress!!

Next up is our TRADEworks Enterprise area. In this area, our students learn all the skills required for a custodial job. Students learn hands on tasks in the classroom during the first couple of weeks of school and then use these accomplished skills when they go out to community work sites weekly to provide custodial duties at local businesses. Such tasks include but are not limited to sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning restrooms, taking out the trash, etc.

Next up is WOODworks. Much like RECYCLEworks which used mainly plastic to recycle, WOODworks mainly reuses wood from pallets to create their masterpieces. Students learn how to disassemble pallets, measure / cut, reassemble and often times paint newly designed wooden treasures they offer for sale. Although recycled wooden pallets are often used for items, there are times that purchased wood is used for larger projects.
