1 β€œMost assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. 2 But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. 5 Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.” 6 Jesus used this illustration, but they did not understand the things which He spoke to them.

*LESSONS FOR TODAY:*

Good morning, L.I.B Family! Glory be to God who continues to shepherd us by the leading of His Spirit.

In today’s scriptural texts, Jesus started this teaching with a familiar phrase, β€œMost assuredly, I say to you.” It is His way of getting the attention of His listeners. It connects what Jesus is about to say with what He has said before. The Pharisees who were the religious leaders in Israel, should have been faithful shepherds over God’s flock, but they had failed. They were blind to the truth of who Jesus is and used their power to keep the people in fear rather than caring for the flock. The sheepfold mentioned here is God’s people and the false shepherds are religious leaders. These false shepherds are likened to thieves and robbers because of the way they enter the sheepfold. They cannot enter by the door because the doorkeeper does not recognize them as the shepherd. These are men that God has not ordained to be shepherd, but rather devise means to be one or put in such position by others out of religion.

Beloved, thieves and robbers both have the same purpose. It’s either to take what belongs to you through deception or by force. In both cases, they don’t care about you. They only want to profit at your expense. They want to use you to further their own selfish ends (3 John 1:9-10). Satan’s aim is never to build up or care for people! His end goal is to destroy (John 10:10). He often uses men and women who pose as believers to cause destruction in the church. They seem to know the Bible and teach the Bible, which gains them a hearing among those who profess to know Christ, but their teachings and their practices do not lead people toward godliness, but toward destruction (Revelation 2:14-16).

On the contrast, Jesus said, "the one who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep" (John 10:3). Jesus is the door (John 10:7). Anyone who bears the testimony of Jesus and called by His will is the one that the Father gives access to the sheep and the audience of the sheep to (Luke 9:35). Jesus is the true shepherd (Micah 5:4). His voice is registered with us. We hear His voice through His written Word, properly interpreted and applied. The Lord’s sheep know His voice through His Word because they graze often in it. It is our daily bread (John 8:47). Jesus calls us by our names (Isaiah 43:1 & 1 Peter 2:9). He is also a guide. He does not lead His own by the way of death or destruction. He leads us by His love in the way of life (Psalm 23:1-6). Hence, all these helps us to discern the voice of the One whom we belong to and the one who is trying to own us true manipulations or false pieties (1 Thessalonians 5:21). The Pharisees who had rejected Jesus and His words could not comprehend what He taught them. Their hearts were far from Him and they weren’t ready to receive His words. The same is true today. Childlike faith is all that is necessary for salvation and yet many refuse to believe. Jesus is the true Shepherd and He is the door of salvation. Hear His voice, follow Him and receive the gift of eternal life. May the LORD continue to give us understanding in Jesus' name.

Let's pray!

_"[3] Jesus answered, *β€œNeither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.* [4] I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. [5] As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” [6] When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. [7] And He said to him, β€œGo, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing."_
_[37] "And Jesus said to him, β€œYou have both seen Him and it is He who is talking with you.” [38] Then he said, *β€œLord, I believe!”* And he worshiped Him. [39] *And Jesus said, β€œFor judgment I have come into this world, that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may be made blind.”* [40] Then some of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these words, and said to Him, β€œAre we blind also?” [41] *Jesus said to them, β€œIf you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, β€˜We see.’ Therefore your sin remains.*"_
‭‭‭‭————————————————
*LESSONS FOR TODAY:*

Greetings brethren, I pray the Lord opens our eyes to see what He sees, in Jesus' name. This passage draws our attention quickly to _*β€œFor My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. β€œFor as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts."*_ (*Isaiah 55:8-9*) We can't understand what the Lord is doing unless He helps us to see it. This is what happened in the life of this man born blind. When the disciples asked Jesus about the cause of his blindness, Jesus told them that the man didn't sin nor his parents, but it is to see the hand of God manifest in the man's life in order for God's name to be glorify. (*John 9:3*) It is so that the sovereignty of God can be seen and every man will see that it is not their power but only God who can do something like this. Furthermore, there are seasons we are meant to reveal the works of God, let's consider that to be seasons of manifestations and then we have seasons of preparation to the manifestations. This miracle that took place showed that it was time for God's power to be made manifest in the life of the man and in the presence of those who need to learn because such seasons will come their way as well as long as they are following Jesus. (*Acts 1:8,14, Acts 2:1-4, Acts 3:2-8*)

We see that when Jesus is teaching there are those who have something negative to say. In their commentary it shows the ignorance of men, lack of understanding and the blindness of the mind. When the Holy Spirit helps us to see we can liken it to we have understanding, in such a way that our minds is now open to understand the mysteries of God. (*1 Corinthians 2:9-10*) This is what happened to this man, he knew that God will not hear sinners because they are blind and can't understand God's will. God only hears those who do His will and hear their prayers. (*John 9:31-33*) So that means Jesus' teachings are true and His actions are rooted in God. Instead of believing, we see how the naysayers revealed they were blind spiritually even though they see physically. The Lord delivered this man from both physical and spiritual blindness. Let's humble ourselves before God and allow Him to open our eyes, remove any veils and help us understand His ways.

Let's pray!

*LESSONS FOR TODAY:*

Happy Tuesday to the Lord I Believe family of the Most High God. May today bring renewed understanding of His love and grace, and may we walk closely in the light of His mercy.

In this powerful encounter, Jesus the righteous leader and the unnamed woman caught in the act of adultery, demonstrates a level of compassion and mercy that reveals the Father’s love toward all sinners. While others condemned, Jesus neither overlooked the sin nor joined the crowd in passing judgment. Instead, He invited the woman to a new beginning, free from condemnation. Jesus expressed, _*β€œNeither do I condemn you; go and sin no more,”*_ this is a reminder that although sin is serious, but God’s mercy and forgiveness are available to everyone who truly seeks it. The religious leaders brought the woman before Jesus as a trap, hoping to discredit Him regardless of His response. Yet, Jesus’ wisdom left them speechless. He simply stooped down and wrote on the ground, causing them to look inward rather than outward. *This tells us that it’s often easy to see others’ faults, but God calls us first to examine ourselves. Jesus’ response shows us that we should not be quick to judge, for we too need grace daily. Matthew 7:3-5*

According to the Jewish law, the two individuals involved should both be punished, but you can imagine the wickedness of the human race, only the woman was arrested. However, Jesus’ action teaches us that mercy triumphs over judgment (James 2:13). *The law demanded punishment, but Jesus came to fulfill the law by offering grace John 1:17”. In our lives, we are often quick to label, judge, or condemn based on our standards, yet Jesus shows us the power of compassion and the opportunity to extend love of Christ to those around us. How often do we choose compassion over condemnation? *People of God, how often do we remember that God’s mercy is what is sustaining us. God’s mercy does not excuse sin; rather, it empowers us to turn away from it. Jesus’ command to the woman to β€œgo and sin no more” is not merely a gentle reminder but a call to live differently, sold out for Him*.

Today, let us remember that in receiving God’s mercy, we are called to extend the same grace and forgiveness to others. He expects us to be a reflection of His love to those who might feel judged or rejected by the world. Matthew 5:14. Beloved, as we go about our day, let us practice forgiveness and humility. Remember that we too are recipients of His mercy. May we not be the hearer of God’s alone but also the doer, choosing compassion and praying for others so they might experience His grace through us in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen

*LESSONS FOR TODAY:*

We thank God that through His mercies we are able to see the fourth day in this new month. May He bring us to the end of the month safely and in peace in Jesus’ name.

Part of the main reason we work is to be able to provide for our daily living which includes our feeding. Working several hours to be able to have income to purchase food to eat without eating from God Himself is fruitless labor. The meals we eat here on earth only sustain us for living here on earth but not eternal life. So you can eat the best meals and take care of your body, however if you don't dine with Him then it’s all vanity. Not only did Jesus come and sacrifice Himself for our sake, He told us what to always do to remember His sacrifice. Partaking in the holy communion serves as a reminder of His sacrifice and as a covenant we have with Him. It can be taken when in need of healing because He said by His stripes we are made whole (Isaiah 53:5). It can be taken when in need of protection and power in His name (Proverbs 18:10; Psalms 121:7-8). It can be taken when in need of a breakthrough (Isaiah 54:17) and so much more. Just partaking in the communion itself isn't what brings results but partaking in it and connecting spiritually to what the Father did for you is where the result is found. This is why He emphasized this while here on earth but those He was teaching lacked understanding. They wanted to see signs and wonders to believe but were not ready to do the necessary work. So brethren, Jesus has taught and shown us what to do to reign with Him eternally and given us what to do to remain steadfast in Him, the rest is in our hands. You can be like these individuals here looking for signs and wonders or you can accept Him as your Lord and Savior and do His will. Don’t labor fruitlessly here on earth but labor for your eternal life.

Let's pray!

‭‭‭‭————————————————
*LESSONS FOR TODAY:*

Welcome to the first Sunday in the month of Thanksgiving, β€œLORD I BELIEVE” family. May all the days in this month be filled with an abundance of thanksgiving for us in Jesus’ name!

In John 5, Jesus performed a healing miracle on the Sabbath, an act that stirred up anger among the religious leaders because it violated their strict rules (John 5:16). Yet, Jesus used this moment to reveal something even more astonishing that He and the Father are one in purpose and power (John 10:30). In this passage, we see Jesus affirm that He does only what He sees His Father do which shows us that His every action is in perfect harmony with God’s will (John 5:19). Family of God, this teaches us a lesson about our alignment with God. Just as Jesus was entirely surrendered to the Father’s will, so must we seek to align our lives with His purpose, knowing that in doing so, we walk in the light of His perfect will (John 6:38). Jesus further reveals that the Father loves the Son and shows Him all things (John 5:20). The love relationship between the Father and Son is an invitation for us to live in God’s love, to trust that He will guide us and reveal Himself to us as we walk closely with Him (1 John 4:16). Beloved, God’s love is the source of every revelation, every miracle, and every guidance we seek (1 Corinthians 2:9-10). Brethren, let us hold fast to the truth that as we draw nearer to God, He will reveal more of Himself to us in ways that will strengthen our faith and deepen our understanding of Him (James 4:8).

One of the most striking statements Jesus made was His claim that the Father has given Him authority to give life and execute judgment (John 5:22). Let us imagine the magnitude of this claim that Jesus has the same power over life and judgment as the Father (John 5:21). For us as believers, this is a reminder that Jesus is not only our Savior but also our Judge (Acts 10:42). As we live each day, let us remember that our actions and decisions are before the One who sees and knows all (Hebrews 4:13). This should inspire us to walk in humility and righteousness as we seek to honor God in all we do (Micah 6:8). Let us live with reverence, knowing that our lives are in the hands of a loving and just Savior (1 Peter 1:17). The response of the religious leaders to Jesus’ declaration was one of anger and disbelief, but for us who believe, it is a cause for thanksgiving (John 5:18). Through Jesus, we have access to the Father, to His love, and to the eternal life He offers to us (John 3:16). Today, let’s thank God for revealing Himself through His Son to us as our Savior (Matthew 11:27). May we not take for granted the grace of knowing Jesus and the privilege of calling Him our Lord (Philippians 2:11). Brethren, let us carry this believe into our daily lives: that Jesus, our Lord, is in perfect unity with the Father, and we, as His followers, are called to abide in that unity (John 17:21). As we continue in this month of thanksgiving, let us offer praise not only for what God has done but for who He is (Psalm 103:1-2). May His presence be our guide, His love our strength, and His truth our foundation in Jesus’ name (Psalm 18:2). Amen

Let us pray!
