Introducing the 2024 Payne Tech Lion’s Pride Recipients and this year’s Principal’s Award Recipient! 🦁 These awards recognize seniors in the Payne Tech community who excel academically, demonstrate leadership in extracurricular activities, and achieve excellence outside the classroom. These recipients have the potential to change the world.

The Lion’s Pride Award, created by Class of 2024 Senior Brian Ametekpor and Senior Advisor Ms. Goodson, selects five PT seniors to receive this accolade at the yearly Graduation ceremony. The Principal’s Award, established by Mr. Love, honors one senior who embodies the Payne Tech spirit.

Congratulations to our graduated seniors Aziyah Braithwaite and Ali Camara for being the recipients of the NJTAC Ray Clippery Memorial Scholar Athlete Awards for their outstanding work in the classroom while performing at their highest in their respective sports. Aziyah was a standout member of the Girls Volleyball team and Cheerleading team, while Ali was a standout player on the Boys Soccer team. We wish them both continued success as they embark on their next chapter💙💛🦁

In memory of Crystal Peterson, Payne Tech staff and students raised $1320.00 to Start Out Fresh Intervention Advocates (S.O.F.I.A.) Domestic Violence.

Join the Payne Scholars as they present their annual Voter Registration Drive!!! The drive will take place on Monday, June 10th during Junior and Senior lunches. You must be at least 17 years old to register, and MUST bring a valid form of identification (State ID, Drivers License, SSN, etc). For any questions, feel free to reach out to the Payne Scholars!!

IT’S GAME TIME!! The Essex County Schools of Technology Scholars and the Sheriff Officers will face off in a basketball game on Wednesday, June 5th at Newark Tech at 6PM.

Seniors! Decision day will be held on Monday, June 3rd! You may dress down with your college/military gear. If you are not wearing college/military gear, you must be in FULL UNIFORM!

Tomorrow 5/31 will be a full dress down. $5.00 for the teachers $3.00 for the students.
All proceeds will go to S.O.F.I.A Start out Fresh Intervention Advocates in Montclair, NJ. In memory of Crystal Peterson. As always students must adhere to the dress code. All colors of the rainbow are welcome!

It’s Spirit Week! 📣📣In honor of our Spring Pep Rally this Friday, May 24th, there will be spirit days leading up to the big event!! Tomorrow, May 22nd, uniform bottoms MUST be worn and the existing dress code restrictions still apply for the following days.
