Auditions for Children of Eden are just two weeks away!

The Geneva Theatre Guild invites you to audition for Children of Eden, a powerful and inspiring musical featuring music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell) and a book by renowned theatre artist John Caird (Les Misérables).

Adam, Eve, Noah and the "Father" who created them deal with the headstrong cataclysmic actions of their respective children. The show ultimately delivers a bittersweet but inspiring message: that "the hardest part of love.. is letting go."

Audition Dates: June 24–25, 2026
Time: 6:30 PM
Location: Geneva Presbyterian Church (24 Park Place)
Please prepare to:
Sing (a song from the show or one of your choice)
Dance (the show involves a great deal of movement)
Act (cold readings from the script)
Please arrive at 6:30 PM to learn the music and dance portions before individual auditions begin.

Available roles include:
Father, Adam/Noah, Eve/Mama Noah, Cain, Abel, Shem, Japheth, Ham, The Snake, featured singers, and storytellers.
Ages 10–100 welcome.
Performances: August 7, 8, and 9 at the Smith Opera House

The Nancy Curvin Playground Players are holding auditions for “The Adventures of Don Marcos Sebastian Guevara Fantastico” by Mike Cuba, directed by Willow Lewmos and Assistant Directed by Tom Fahey

When a revolutionary squirrel named Don Marcos teams up with a shy young girl, Katherine, the pair must outsmart school bullies and save a stolen project. Along the way, they discover healing, bravery, and that dreamers truly do speak the same language.

What is Curvin?

The Nancy Curvin Playground Players, jointly sponsored by the Geneva Theatre Guild Youth Theatre and the Geneva City Recreation Department, was founded in 1998, by the family and friends of Nancy Curvin, a past president of the Geneva Theatre Guild and an enthusiastic worker on Guild productions.

Each summer, a college-age director and assistant director are hired to direct a small company of high school actors in a play to be performed for children and senior citizens. During late July and early August, the Players present between ten and fifteen performances at area playgrounds, parks, daycare centers, and senior citizen centers. All performances are free including several that are open to the public.
