Do you love language, culture, and working with curious young learners? NCCL School is looking for a part-time Elementary Spanish Teacher to join our close-knit K–5 community.

This is a wonderful opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to introduce children to Spanish through conversation, movement, songs, games, stories, and meaningful cultural experiences. The position involves teaching two to four classes per week, making it a great fit for an experienced teacher, language specialist, or someone looking for a small but rewarding teaching commitment.

At NCCL, we believe children learn best when they are actively engaged, encouraged to ask questions, and connected to the world around them. If you’re passionate about helping young children discover the joy of another language and culture, we’d love to hear from you!

Education is about so much more than memorizing facts. We care deeply about who children are becoming.

Through small, multi-age classrooms, students learn not only from their teachers, but from one another. Younger students are inspired by older peers, while older students develop confidence, empathy, and leadership as mentors. Every day, children practice collaboration, problem-solving, creativity, self-advocacy, and community. These are the skills and the relationships that help children thrive in school and far beyond it.

Choosing a school is more about academics. It’s about finding a place where your child and your family feel connected.

At NCCL School, students grow up in a close-knit community where collaboration, kindness, and authentic relationships matter. Parents build friendships, support one another, volunteer together, and become active partners in school life.
We believe children thrive when families feel connected, too.

Why doesn’t NCCL School use traditional desks? Because learning here is active, collaborative, and dynamic.

Our classrooms are designed around conversation, project work, inquiry, creativity, and movement. Students work independently, in small grounds, at tables, on the floor, outdoors, and throughout the community. We want classrooms to feel alive with curiosity and engagement, not confined to rows.

Some of the best learning happens outside the classroom walls!

Our students take part in hands-on fieldwork and community experiences that bring learning to life. A study of ecosystems might lead to a nature center. A history project could spark a museum visit. A classroom discussion may turn into real-world exploration. These experiences help students build curiosity, confidence, independence, and deeper understanding.

Do you have a kid who would love to get out of the classroom and learn outside? We would love to meet you! We have openings in grades K-5 for the 2026-2027 school year. Discover progressive education at www.ncclschool.org

At NCCL School, the arts are woven into the fabric of daily learning.

Students enjoy dedicated art instruction that explores a wide range of artistic media, including fine arts, fiber arts, sculpture, mixed media, and more. Creativity doesn't stay in the art room, though. It extends into science projects, cultural studies, storytelling, music, drama, and hands-on design challenges throughout the curriculum.

Students learn best when they create, explore, and express their ideas. Whether they're painting, weaving, drawing, sculpting, designing, performing, or inventing, they are building confidence, imagination, problem-solving skills, and creative thinking every day. We don't just teach creativity, we nurture it.
