Newark Center for Creative Learning, a local progressive elementary school, will be hosting group tours on May 5th. Montessori and progressive education philosophies overlap in many ways, and several of our families have found NCCL to be a great fit for their child. Both educational models emphasize hands-on and student-led learning, independence, curiosity, teachers guiding rather than directing, a strong sense of community and collaboration, and a focus on the whole child’s academic, social, and emotional growth.
