Rutgers-Newark and NJPAC invite you to make your voice heard through a new partnership: City Verses. This unique, multifaceted program includes several intergenerational educational programs that will celebrate and expand upon jazz’s rich, historical interaction with poetry.
For students 13-18, NJPAC & Rutgers-Newark will be offering a FREE City Verses Virtual Summer Camp called, "Breathe: Expressing Life through Poetry and Jazz."
This camp will offer high school students the opportunity to explore jazz poetry and learn how to compose new work in a collaborative process.

RU-N MFA will be hosting a table at AWP in San Antonio this year! We have a limited number of comp registrations that we have opened to students, and would like to extend the invite to any alumni who plan to attend AWP. Best New Poets Best New Poets is an annual anthology of 50 poems from emerging writers. Each spring, we accept program and magazine nominations and then hold an open competition. The book is featured in the University of Virginia Press calalogue.
