There have been a lot of exciting developments in N.J. in the last few years regarding the legalization of recreational cannabis and the expungement of convictions for cannabis possession. PILSA and ABLS are co-sponsoring an exciting panel on February 26, 2020, to discuss these developments and what's expected to come in the near future (CLE credits pending). The panel is immediately followed by the annual PILF Auction, which is always a great event. Please mark your calendars for these two great events! Registration information will follow in the coming weeks.
Hello Alumni! In case anyone hasn't seen it in their email yet, the Newark Alumni Association/Women's Law Forum Mentoring Program kick-off dinner, which had been scheduled for October 2019 and later postponed, has now been rescheduled to Thursday, January 16 at 6 pm. All mentors and mentees should have received an email yesterday about the rescheduling. Everyone should also have received emails about mentor-mentee matching in November. If anyone who submitted a form as a mentor or mentee hasn't received these emails, please let me know. Please RSVP by January 15th for attendance at the kickoff dinner.
The kick-off dinner will be in the Baker Trial Courtroom on the first floor of the law school in Newark (there will be wine!). Parking is available at the Edison Park Fast lot at 100 Washington Street (but note that you can’t get in the lot after 7 pm). There may also be metered on-street parking near the school.
