NPS Alumni Spotlight: Jasmine Mans ✍🏽
Described as "a very important moment for Newark", the book of poems written by NPS Alum, Jasmine Mans is the ultimate love letter to the city that raised her.
As a member of the Arts High School speech team in 2009, Ms. Mans received a $20,000 Star-Ledger performing arts scholarship adding to her list of victories over the years. In her newly-released book "Black Girl, Call Home" - Mans says "The book, for me, is Newark." The poet and author included specific street names, citing that the book is a "map to bring people back to Newark". 📌
The NBOE & NPS Community alike couldn't be any prouder! Make sure to pick up your copy of “Black Girl, Call Home” – found at Barnes & Nobles, Amazon, Target & where most books are sold! 💪🏾📚✍🏾🌍
