The 3rd and our very own showcasing team: “The NJIT Dance Team is the official dance team of the university's athletic department. We serve as Ambassadors for NJIT and represent the university at various athletic and community events around campus. Coming from various performance and athletic backgrounds, we have created a diverse group of dancers with varying strengths. The NJIT Dance Team can be found at every home men’s and women’s basketball game, as well as at numerous philanthropic events and showcases throughout the academic year. With each performance, we hope to spread the values of spirit, tradition, and culture throughout the NJIT community.”

The first showcasing team: “FLASH DT is a dance team at Seton Hall University that primarily focuses and devotes our time
to the art of urban hip-hop. As we perform at internal and external events, the one factor that
distinguishes FLASH DT from other teams is the stressed essence of family. At the end of every
practice, we conclude with our chant: “What have we found? FAMILY! What have we found?
DT!” We continually accept all levels of dancers on the spectrum, and we encourage all those
who are interested in dancing with FLASH DT to learn these three lessons: Commitment,
Confidence, and Pride. Although we practice at limited times throughout the year, we constantly
remind each other of that strong familial bond that is always present within FLASH DT. We are
excited to return to ROS XIII, and we are prepared to showcase to the dance community what we
will provide to the table!”

“Filiment Dance Troupe, originating from the College of Mount Saint Vincent, is the only non-audition team on campus rooted in hip-hop and Filipino Culture. Our purpose is to foster a fun, judgement free environment for people of all different dance backgrounds whether they have been dancing for the past 10 years or this is their first time in a dance studio. Being that we are a team of college students, we live by our motto: Students first. Dancers second. Family always!”

“Deja Vu is a competitive urban dance team at Stony Brook University. Deja's goal is to form a family of dancers who can grow together and learn from one another. Despite a love for performing and competing, the team's overarching purpose is to connect hard-working students interested in dancing and form an unbreakable bond during the process.”
