What an incredible week it has been at Roberto Clemente Elementary School! 💛🖤

It was wonderful having our entire staff back together as we prepared to welcome our scholars on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, for another amazing school year!

From our first day together—building connections through our icebreaker, recognizing Ms. Genao as our first Bright Light recipient, and engaging in meaningful professional development—to welcoming our families at our Meet & Greet, this week was filled with collaboration, celebration, and Clemente pride!

We also had an incredible time at the Superintendent’s Convocation at the Prudential Center, where Roberto Clemente received several well-deserved acknowledgments. We proudly celebrated Ms. Miranda for 25 years of dedicated service, and one of our very own scholars, Syncere Perez, gave an outstanding performance, singing in front of thousands of district employees! 🎤👏🏽

What a way to begin the 2026–2027 school year!

We are excited to welcome our scholars back and begin another STRONG year at Roberto Clemente—continuing to grow, achieve, and reach new heights together.

We are STRONGER THAN EVER! 💪🏽💛🖤 We Are Number 1 !

🎉 Roberto Clemente Elementary proudly celebrated another successful year of Project Alpha! 💛🖤

Now in its third year at RCES, Project Alpha continues to mentor, inspire, and empower our young men to become strong, confident, and responsible leaders.

A special thank you to Mr. Curtis White, Mr. Jermaine Blount, our dedicated mentors, and Mayor Ras Baraka for joining us in recognizing the accomplishments of our students and sharing powerful messages about leadership, service, and mentorship.

Together, we are building the next generation of leaders! 💙💛

Congratulations to the Roberto Clemente Elementary School Middle School Boys’ Volleyball Team on an incredible championship victory!

Our boys demonstrated outstanding teamwork, determination, sportsmanship, and heart throughout the tournament. We are so proud of this amazing accomplishment and the way they represented our school community.
