DOJO RULES — Discipline Begins with Respect 🥋

A dojo is more than a place to practice punches, kicks, kata, and self-defense. It is a place where character is trained alongside technique. Every student, regardless of belt rank or experience, shares the responsibility of creating an environment built on respect, discipline, humility, and focus.

Bow when entering and leaving the mat. This simple action reminds us to respect the place where we learn, grow, struggle, and improve.

Keep quiet while the instructor is teaching. Listen carefully, because every correction and explanation can help improve your technique. Avoid interrupting unless you have an important question.

Sit correctly and maintain good posture. Discipline is visible not only when performing a powerful technique, but also in the small moments between training.

Respect your training partners. They are not obstacles to defeat; they are essential to your progress. Train with control, care, and a positive attitude.

Never interrupt instruction unnecessarily. Learning requires attention, patience, and the willingness to observe before acting.

Do not leave the mat without permission from the Sensei or instructor. This demonstrates courtesy and helps maintain safety and organization during class.

Support students of lower rank. A stronger martial artist does not use knowledge to make others feel small. Instead, they encourage, guide, and help beginners become more confident.

At the end of class, line up quietly according to the rank and traditions of your dojo. Order and discipline help create unity among all students.

Finally, keep the mats clean. Respecting the training space is part of respecting yourself, your instructor, and everyone who trains beside you.

The true purpose of martial arts is not simply to become stronger than others. It is to become stronger than the person you were yesterday. Technique may earn admiration, but discipline builds character. Respect creates trust. Humility keeps the mind open. And consistent practice transforms ordinary effort into lasting progress.

Train hard. Stay humble. Respect the dojo. Help others grow. Carry the lessons of martial arts beyond the mat and into everyday life.

🥋 Same Rules. Stronger Character. Better Tomorrow.
