We are starting the year off communicating to our Seniors about their golden tickets!
These gold passes help us to see NHS seniors and discuss their plans after High School.
We provide resources for any education after high school. We are so excited to start meeting with students and help them navigate the college process!

The Ohio State University at Newark welcomed the freshman class of 2030 to campus with a beautiful Convocation ceremony today. The message was one of belonging, connectedness and openness for a future yet to be discovered.
The OSU Class of 2030 represents 57 of Ohio's 88 counties and more than half of them are first generation college students (neither parent earned a bachelor's degree). We're excited to share that as of today, 71 Newark City Schools grads have received a total of $155,820 in Last Dollar Grants to pay for their education at OSU Newark this year!

⛈ Storms and Power outages couldn't keep us from celebrating our wonderful community! ⚡
A Call to College held it's first Community Appreciation Event this week to say "Thank You" to our Donors, Board Members, Volunteers, and community partners.
We are so lucky to have so much community support. Held at the historic (and gorgeous) Midland Theatre in downtown Newark, our partners enjoyed a private screening of the movie Grease to kick off another great school year.

A Call to College is hiring a full-time Director of College Prep and Success and we are looking for a perfect fit with our growing A Call to College team!

Are you organized, flexible, detail-oriented, energetic and compassionate?
Do you love working with Newark’s youth and are you excited by the prospect of helping them pursue and complete their education after high school?

If so, you might be who we are looking for to join our team as a Director of College Prep & Success! Overarching responsibilities of this position include: implementation, management and evaluation of projects and programs; spokesperson for A Call to College; developing student relationships and providing informed advising; and leading and collaborating with multiple teams.

Director of College Prep & Success Needs and Primary Responsibilities


Needed Skills and Character Traits: Organized, Comfort with Technology, Good oral and written ability, Detail-oriented, Ability to multi-task, Flexible, Passionate, Compassionate, Maturity or social awareness, Sense of Humor


Desired Skills and Character Traits: Higher Ed Experience (Fin Aid, Admissions, Student Life), some exposure to K-12, Comfort with teaching/presentations, Quantitative, Tech Savvy, Community-minded, energetic, positive attitude, will commit a period of time to ACTC

Employment Details: Ideal Start date as soon as possible. Full-time, year-round position. A Call to College highly values employees having a healthy work/life balance and offers a generous allowance for time off. Approximately 5 weeks of vacation including NCS observed National Holidays, winter and spring breaks and ten work days of personal time (over summer months.) Health, Dental and Vision for which ACTC covers 78% of individual premiums and 73% for families. PNB 401(K) which ACTC matches 100% of employee's contribution up to 5% of employee's salary. Starting Salary $45-60K, depending on experience and education level.
