SCOPE Activities in March 2025: SCOPE Chapter Visits. SCOPE officials recently visited the Schoharie and Seneca County Chapters of SCOPE, engaging in discussions about the organization's key priorities. The five main priorities highlighted were: synchronizing efforts with other 2A organizations in New York State, expanding membership both individually and within active chapters, educating politicians and the public about fi****ms legislation in New York, developing and promoting new fi****ms legislation, and supporting high school shooting sports through donations. On March 25, 2025, 14 members of the Ontario County Sheriffโs Office were honored at the 61st Annual Ontario County Safety Council Awards Banquet for their heroic life-saving actions in 2024. ๐ The event, held at Ravenwood Golf Club in Victor, NY, celebrated brave officers and community members who went above and beyond in critical situations.

A Deputy received the Stop DWI Officer of the Year Award for making 22 arrests related to impaired driving. Life-Saving Awards were presented, including one to a Corrections Officer who saved an inmate during a su***de attempt. Heart Starter Awards were given to individuals who performed CPR and used AEDs in emergencies, including one instance where a life was saved after responding to a seizure leading to cardiac arrest. Several individuals also received Letters of Commendation for their exceptional service to our community.
Weโre incredibly grateful for the officers and community members who acted without hesitation to save lives, often in dangerous situations. Your courage and quick thinking make all the difference. ๐

Man Awarded $10,001 After NYPD Denied His Gun Permit
New York City has agreed to pay $10,001 to a man after it settled a case. The city refused to issue any permits to him that are needed to purchase fi****ms.
