Friday will be the first day of the school year to represent your house. Please wear your house shirt or house color. 6th graders and new students to Heritage will receive their house in a few weeks. If your student went to an elementary that had the house system in place, they can wear that shirt tomorrow.
Students can also wear Wildcat/Newark apparel.

We are back in full swing for the 2026/2027. Heritage welcomed the new group of 6th grade (Class of 2033) on Thursday. They learned about the procedures, expectations, had current students answer questions, and how to open their lockers, and much more. Also thank you to the honor society members who were present to answer questions for the 6th graders.

The "Showdown at Sundown" Volleyball Preview is less than TWO WEEKS away!🏐📢

The Newark and Newark Catholic volleyball programs will co-host at White Field on Saturday, August 15, beginning at 3:30 PM.

22 teams are participating, and each match will consist of two sets to 21 since it is a preview. Two volleyball courts will be set up in the center of the football field, with bleachers around the courts for student cheering sections. Both home and visitor stands will also be open. Fans can also bring bags and chairs to sit on the turf.

Matchups are:
🏐3:30pm – Court 1 - Utica vs. Lancaster; Court 2 - Mount Vernon vs. New Lexington
🏐4:30pm – Court 1 - Lakewood vs. John Glenn; Court 2 - Pleasant vs. DeSales
🏐5:30pm – Court 1 - Granville vs. Pickerington North; Court 2 - Watkins vs. Bellefontaine
🏐6:30pm – Court 1 - Heath vs. Pickerington Central; Court 2 - Johnstown vs. Gallia Academy
🏐7:30pm – Court 1 - Northridge vs. River View; Court 2 - Licking Valley vs. Circleville
🏐8:30pm – Court 1 - Newark Catholic vs. Newark

Admission for the event is $5.00, and children aged 5 and under get in free. Full concessions will be available during the event.

In the event of a rainout on August 15, the event will be held on August 16. If it rains to the point that the event cannot be held outside on August 16, the venue will move to Newark High School.

Attention 7th and 8th grade girls interested in volleyball- this is the last week of open gyms (Tuesday and Wednesday) 8:30-9:30 am at Heritage. Try outs will be held on Monday, August 3rd 8:30-9:30 am at Heritage.

To be able to participate, players must have their final forms completed (both parent and student forms) and an up to date physical.

Open gyms will resume on Thursday, July 23rd 8:30-9:30 am. All open gyms take place at Heritage.
