2025-2026 school year new and returning student registration has begun. Please visit newarkunified.org for all enrollment information. Questions to [email protected]. This year new students will (1) register online and (2) make an appointment to submit the required paperwork at the District Office. New student enrollment will not be done at the school sites for the 2025-2026 school year. Please visit newarkunified.org for required paperwork and new parent appointments. Returning students will use the ParentVue app to register for next year and will need to upload (2) school area residency proofs. The requirements have changed for returning students registration, please visit newarkunified.org.

Please be patient, registration dates and information for new and returning students for the 2025-2026 school year has not been released from District Office. Please check the Newark Unified School District Web site for the latest information at newarkunified.org under the ENROLL tab. This will be the best place to find updated registration information regarding ages, required paperwork and when to register.

It's Walk-A-Thon time! Virtual Walk-a-thon Sept. 16th - Sept. 27th. Each student received these letters last week so check the communication folders. All funds raised go directly back to our students at BGP & BGI either through classroom supplies, family events, or teacher supply grants.

Hello BGP Families,
Set your calendars - BGP Back to School Night is this Thursday, August 15th from 5:00-7:00pm. The evening will start in the cafeteria with a Welcome from our Principal, Jen Cronan, and an introduction to all BGP Staff. After the Principal's message, parents will be released to go their student's classroom for a presentation by the teacher. Do not worry if you have two students at BGP. We have organized the evening into two 'classroom sessions' so that you can attend one classroom presentation and attend the 2nd student's classroom presentation. This will be explained in the Principal's message.

This is an event for our entire school, we are asking that you please be mindful and contain guests to immediate family. Space will be tight in the cafeteria for the Principal's speech. We will start at promptly 5:00pm. Parking will be impacted as well, please plan ahead. We also ask that you be respectful of your student's teacher's time on Back to School Night, if you would like to discuss any particulars with your teacher, please schedule a meeting with your teacher. We are expecting to end on time so our teachers can tend to their families and prepare for the following school day.

Our blacktop area and playground area will be off limits as there be no supervision in those areas. You are always welcome to walk over to Birch Grove Park after your classroom visit if your family would like some play or exercise time.

Campus gates Open at 8:10 am. School starts at 8:25 am today. TK & K are out at 12:25, 1st & 2nd are out at 2:47 today. Please drive safely around our school area and please obey the crossing guard.
