The Association of Black Law Students has drafted the following statement expressing our disapproval with the selection of Professor Vera Bergelson as a speaker on the โAddressing Anti-Asian American Violenceโ CLE panel offered by Rutgers Law School-Newark as a means of preemptive redemption. This decision is in blatant opposition to creating an anti racist, safe, and welcoming environment for Black students and ignores the expressed concerns of various affinity groups, faculty, and alumni. Our voices will not be silenced.

And with that weโre closing out law school gala season with the 54th Annual MSP Gala at RBG Hall! The gala served as a beautiful way for alumni, faculty, students, friends, and family to gather again after 2 years!
