What a fantastic reunion with the New Zealand study abroad crew! It was great to see so many familiar faces, share laughs, and relive some unforgettable moments from our journey across Aotearoa.
Study abroad trips like this aren’t just about the places we go—they’re about the people we become along the way. Grateful for the friendships, the fieldwork, and the memories that still bring us together.
Here’s to lifelong learning, big adventures, and the bonds that travel builds!

We made it to Wellington. After a long day on the road that included a stop to see Kiwi birds in Otorohanga we are now in Wellington. Mega thanks to Anthony Watters for being such a great driver, guide, and friend to all us Blue Hens on this leg of the trip. More to come!

The black sand beach and rocky intertidal zone of Ngarunui beach kept us busy and enthralled today. Our first west coast beach of the trip and a chance to take a dip in the Tasman Sea.

Today we became speleologists and conducted an “in-depth” study of limestone caves here at Waitomo. Oligocene deposits carved into intricate passage ways that we walked and floated along. Oh and did we mention the glow worms.
