May Weekly Resilience Tip #1: Nurture Resilience by Reframing Nervousness
This week, we invite you to notice your own nervous energy and reframe it as a healthy emotional response rather than something to eliminate. This shift in perspective can have a profound impact on how you approach challenges. Here are some practical steps you can take:
1. Notice When Nervousness Arises - Pay attention to moments when you feel nervous; before a difficult parent meeting, an observation, or trying a new teaching approach. Rather than judging the feeling, simply observe it and acknowledge that something matters to you.
2. Determine the Source - Pause to identify if the nervousness is based on something concrete or on fear of judgment, failure, or the unknown. This awareness helps you separate real concerns from anxiety about unpredictable outcomes.
3. Recognize Nervousness as Humility - Remind yourself that nervousness connects to humility and emotional intelligence. It means you acknowledge that outcomes aren't entirely predictable and that you care about what happens. This is healthy, not a flaw.

A deep breath. A gentle voice. A moment of connection. 💚
These small, everyday interactions are where real learning begins—helping children feel safe, supported, and understood as they grow through big emotions. 🌿
At Kind Mind, we support these moments by giving educators practical tools they can actually use in real time—like ready-to-use SEL curriculum, visual supports, and hands-on resources that make emotional learning more accessible in the flow of the day. From classroom routines to simple regulation strategies, everything is designed to help teachers spend less time figuring it out—and more time connecting with children. ✨
Because when teachers feel supported, meaningful moments, like above. become the standard. 💛
A huge thanks to teachers everywhere for showing up for kids in a big way every day!

Teachers do more than teach lessons, they help shape how children feel, express, and connect. 💫
Today, we’re celebrating the heart behind the classroom: educators everywhere who show up each day with empathy, patience, and care that truly shape young lives 💛 This includes inspiring educators like Caron Morse, School Social Worker at Portland, ME Public Schools , and Monica Redlevske, Child Development Director at Promise Early Education Center —alongside so many others doing this meaningful work every day.
In classroom moments big and small, it’s the way they listen, guide, and create safety and belonging that makes all the difference in a child’s world.
We’re deeply grateful for educators who lead with heart. 🌿
At Kind Mind, we’re honored to support this work by helping teachers bring more ease, connection, and emotional safety into their classrooms with practical SEL tools they can use every day.

How often do your students feel nervous, worried, or anxious? As educators, we witness this daily: before presentations, during assessments, when raising hands to participate, or navigating social situations. While nervousness can feel uncomfortable, it's actually a healthy part of being human when we know how to work with it effectively.

In the State of Preschool Yearbook 2025 by National Institute for Early Education Research , Maine met 9 out of 10 quality benchmarks for state-funded preschool programs. That kind of quality doesn’t happen by chance—it’s built every day through strong standards, supported educators, and classrooms where children feel safe, connected, and ready to learn. 💛
At Kind Mind, we’re proud to support this work by equipping educators with practical SEL tools that strengthen co-regulation, emotional safety, and calm, connected classrooms—where quality truly comes to life. 🌿
