R.T. Hudson SDA Elementary School

R.T. Hudson SDA Elementary School The R. T. Hudson Seventh-day Adventist Elementary School has over 90 successful years of Christian education. in Manhattan. Hudson.

Hudson Seventh-day Adventist School can trace its roots back to 1924 when it was the Elementary Division of Harlem Academy which was located at W 127th St. & Lenox Ave. In 1945, the school was moved to 562 W 150th St. and was reorganized in 1947 as Manhattan Elementary and Northeastern Academy. In 1958 the school was moved to its current location at 1122 Forest Ave. Bronx, NY and in 1967, the name

of the school was changed to R.T. This change was made to recognize and honor our beloved deceased pastor who was a strong supporter of Adventist education and also the president of Northeastern Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. For over 91 years, the dedicated visionaries of the Ephesus and later City Tabernacle and the Bronx SDA Churches embarked on a journey to change the world through SDA education and prepare souls for God’s kingdom. People from all over this city, state and country have been blessed in some manner by our fine scholars and alumni who have emerged from the halls of R.T. to excel and dominate as pastors, doctors, nurses, teachers, administrators, lawyers, journalists, businessmen and women, among others.
