From Lab-grown Meats to Ghost Kitchens: Why Foodtech Should Bring Partners to the Table by Jean Park

From lab-grown salmon to ghost kitchens, foodtech isn’t just changing what we eat — it’s changing how food moves from lab to plate. 🍽️

Alternative proteins are racing to meet rising global demand as traditional meat supply declines, while ghost kitchens are redefining restaurant economics in a delivery-first world. But innovation alone isn’t enough. The real differentiator? Partnerships.

From Oatly making “oat the default” through coffee shop collaborations, to UPSIDE Foods raising hundreds of millions for cultivated meat, to cloud kitchen platforms like Kitopi scaling alongside major F&B brands — the startups that win are the ones that build with the right partners at the table.

In foodtech, it’s not just about taste or tech. It’s about who you build with.

Despite advances in AI and mapping, full autonomy will remain city-bound by Frizzo Tobing

By 2045, only robotaxi and freight networks will reliably reach Level 4 autonomy. Personal cars will stall at Level 2+ as tech, legal, and economic limits make full self-driving impractical outside controlled urban zones. The dream of a universal driverless car sounds elegant, but the real world—messy roads, unpredictable human behavior, extreme weather, liability issues, and fragmented regulation—keeps it grounded.

Meanwhile, fleet operators like Waymo, Zoox, and autonomous freight players can amortize massive hardware costs, operate inside geo-fenced areas, and validate their systems on predictable routes. Autonomy will scale, but in cities and trucking corridors, not in your driveway.

No Console? No Problem. Cloud Gaming Is Here by Dimas Aryol

Game file sizes are exploding. 85GB here, 200GB there, and cloud gaming is starting to look like the only solution that scales. After early failures like OnLive and Stadia, new tech (edge compute, AI upscaling, smarter networking) is finally catching up to the dream: instant boot, no downloads, no storage anxiety. And this time, players won’t need $1,500 hardware just to keep up.

From NVIDIA and PlayStation to rising startups like Wavedash, Playruo, Shadow, and Boosteroid, the next wave of cloud gaming is already taking shape — faster, cheaper, and far more accessible than the last generation ever was.
