Wednesday June 8, 2016 was a busy day for the Westinghouse family. A group of students were invited to see The Color Purple The Musical on Broadway. Students and staff had an amazing time. Thank you to Mrs. Kieran and Mrs. Mack for setting up this unforgettable experience.

Senior Prom 2016 was Wednesday June 8, 2016. Fun was had by all. Thank you Ms. Cresap for working so hard to make this magical night into a reality for our students.

For the second year in a role the ScriptEd foundation is providing our students with extraordinary internship opportunities. ScriptEd is in 44 schools in the city of New York, serving over 400 students. Internships are competitive, limited, and are assign based on a students coding ability and professional acumen. For the second year in a role George Westinghouse students have been awarded the highest number of internships from across the city. They are as follows:

Congratulations to the National Honor Society Inductees!!!! They were honored on Monday May 16, 2016 at the NHS Induction Ceremony at George Westinghouse High School. The 9th grade inductees are: Ainul Abir, Christian Cabrera, Sierra Clarke, Michael Cuatlal, Victor De Jesus III, Renefra Dodson George, Kervin Garcia, Joshua Jean Pierre, Joseph Lubrun, Gaethan Moliere, Claire Petit Frere, Jasmine Riley, Deane Spencer, Esli Torres Gasper, and Darius Williams. The 10th grade are: MIchael Pena Onega and Alredo Arce.

Keep up the great work guys. We are all very proud of this prestigious honor.

3rd Annual Do The Right Great Adventure Trip. Staff and students had a great time. Thank you to the students who did the right thing and earned this trip, thank you to the staff for chaperoning and making sure all the students had a fun and safe day, and thank you to Ms. Kieran and Ms. Mack for organizing the trip and making it possible. All in all, I'd say today was a great day and I can't wait for next years trip. 👍😃
