Happy Thanksgiving to all!
Thank you Cathy Roy for the opportunity to guest teach at the Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) in Morristown, NJ. The young participants were a delight to work with, and were attentive for the entire three-hour workshop. Charles Santoro provided expert piano accompaniment, which made every singer feel as comfortable as possible. I’m already looking forward to the next time!

I was so proud to see Audrey Heffernan Meyer’s one-woman show at Manhattan’s 54 Below, “Back in the Nick of Time!” I’ve worked with Audrey for many years, and her professional career spans decades of performing in musicals and dramas, as well as TV and films. This autobiographical piece, celebrating Audrey’s folk-rock style and soaring soprano, features music from the 60s and 70s by the most influential female singer-songwriters of that time: Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Bonnie Raitt, Dionne Warwick, and Linda Ronstadt, amongst others. Brava!
Today — the last in my former voice studio — was quite special. After over 45 years in the same location, I’ll no longer be working at 850 Seventh Avenue. My first student this morning was a lovely and talented young lady who was not even born when I began teaching her aunt, Lauren Lucas many years ago. Tomorrow, movers will start to bring books, artwork, music, and memories to my New Jersey home. In-person lessons with me will continue on Sundays in a studio right across Seventh Avenue. Online lessons will be available seven days a week, and I’ve have had spectacular results right from a computer. Feel free to contact me at [email protected] with any questions or to make an appointment. A new chapter begins!
Spring has sprung, and my April newsletter is finally out. See where I'll be teaching in-person voice lessons!
Spring has Sprung! In-person lessons - in a new studio! Hello friends! Sorry this newsletter is a bit later than usual, but it’s been a busy couple of months packing up a studio I’ve occupied for over four decades.
