The job market is changing (as we all know 🙃), but here’s where it’s growing fastest 👀
The latest US employment projections are out and some of the careers near the top probably aren’t ones you’d expect.
Swipe for the 10 fastest growing jobs in America 👉
[based on US Bureau of Labor Statistics projections for 2025-2035]
Healthcare is going to need a lot more people.
Ophthalamic medical technicians and occupational therapy assistants both make the top 10 - two careers you might not hear much about at school, but are projected to grow more than 21%.
Note to self - file under “jobs worth knowing” 🗂️
Tech 🤝 healthcare
Computer and information research scientists are projected to grow 21.8%, while psychiatric technicians are projected to grow 22.3%.
Two completely different ways to build a career in areas where demand is rising 📈
Another reminder that “working in healthcare” can mean a LOT of different things.
You could be directly helping patients recover as a physical therapist assistant OR running the organizations delivering healthcare as a medical and health services manager.
Same industry; very different careers.
Two big forces shaping the future of work: energy + AI.
Wind turbine service technicians are projected to grow 29.5%.
Data scientists? 34.6%.
The BLS expects growing electricity demand, digital tools and AI adoption to help drive demand across both areas. ⚡️
And the two fastest-growing jobs?
☀️ Solar photovoltaic installers: +36.5% (hands up if you didn’t even know that was a word…🙋)
🩺 Nurse practitioners: +41%
Again, very different paths and qualifications, but both sitting at the front of much bigger changes happening across the US economy.
The point isn’t that you should pick one of these - it’s that the world of work is much bigger and changing much faster than the handful of careers most of us grow up hearing about.
The more you know exists, the more you can actually consider 🔎
So explore careers, industries and different ways to get there at anyway.ai 🚀
