Ten courses will be offered, including "The Making of America: From the Colonial Period Through Reconstruction," taught by David W Blight, Denver Brunsman, Lindsay M. Chervinsky, Historian M. Chervinsky, Historian, and Justene Hill Edwards.

Amid the United States’ semiquincentennial, participants will explore the history of the colonial era, the American Revolution, the early republic, and the origins and aftermath of the Civil War in this special seminar.

K-12 teachers📣 Submissions are open for the Building Better Citizens Contest! Share a lesson plan that creatively uses questions from the United States citizenship test to help support teachers’ use of the test in their classroom.

Ten prize winners will receive cash awards. One first place winner will receive $5,000, two second place winners will each receive $2,500, and seven third place winners will each receive $1,000. Submissions will be accepted through July 3, 2026.
