UIUC has been getting some press recently about their plan for a Jewish dorms - with some news stations calling it "the first university with Jewish affiliated housing". https://newschannel20.com/news/local/u-of-i-to-create-a-jewish-student-house
While interesting, it's not true about it being the first -- it's actually #20! (The reporters really should have reached out to us first)

Hillel posted their newest population estimates for Jews on campus, and there are some interesting changes:
• Biggest decreases: York University (lost 1,200), UCLA (lost 600), McGill University (lost 500),
• Biggest (and only) increases: Syracuse University (gained 300) and Tufts University (gained 100)
• Interestingly, Brandeis University lost 216 and is now down to (only) 34% Jewish! That leaves it just barely ahead of Barnard, Tulane, and LIU (all 33%) for the most Jewish non-Jewish college

Shameful. There’s no excuse to fight against Kosher food for Jewish students on campus — it’s just anti-Semitism!
