Eden Christian Academy and Early Childhood Center,Inc. was founded by the Gutherie family in 1933 in response to the needs of the community. Presently, it was taken over and managed by Dr. Connie Abraham who is working to give the Nursery the educational outlook it deserves. The primary purpose of Eden Christian Academy and Early Childhood Center,Inc. is to provide service for children of all pare
nts ages 6 weeks to 23 months,2-6 years, 5-12 years, in a psychosocial environment that enhances growth physically, academically, psychologically, and socially. Eden's recognizes its responsibility to cooperate with the child's background, knowledge and style of experiencing. consequently, the following is the focus of our endeavors:
1. To maintain an environment wherein the children experience by perception, manipulation of materials and by practicing the intellectual and moral standards of excellence needed to influence our society for the better.
2. To help children acquire the self-discipline necessary to complete assignments (simple tasks in view of age levels) and to achieve realistic goals according to each child's ability.Each child will be stimulated to progress at his or her own pace, ability, experience and age.
3.To stimulate self-creativity within the children, and inspire them to understand and appreciate each other.
4. To teach the children the Myth and Science concepts, skills, attitudes and appreciates needed to become contributing members of society now and as adults.
