We are proud to recognize our students from our NJ and NY campuses who participated in the Chinese Bridge Competition! 👏✨
The Chinese Bridge Competition is an international program that promotes Chinese language learning and cultural understanding among students around the world. Participants showcase their Mandarin skills through speeches, presentations, cultural knowledge, and special performances such as music, dance, calligraphy, and storytelling.
This experience helps students build confidence in their language abilities while fostering a deeper appreciation for Chinese culture and global connections.
We are so proud of their hard work, dedication, and outstanding achievements. Keep shining! 🌟

✨ Teacher Appreciation Week at HWIS ✨
Last week, we celebrated the incredible teachers who inspire, guide, and support our students every single day. From thoughtful flowers to a delicious lunch and their new “Inspiring Global Leaders” shirts, it was a beautiful week filled with gratitude and smiles.
A huge thank you to our amazing Parent Association, HWISPA, for creating such a thoughtful celebration and for showing our teachers how appreciated they truly are.
Our teachers truly inspire global leaders every day, and we are so grateful for all they do for our school community. 💙

HudsonWay Flyers & Green Team at Riverside Park 🌿
Last week, 39 HWIS students, staff, and coaches partnered with the Riverside Park Conservancy for a day of service at Riverside Park, helping spread mulch and care for the park’s planting beds. Students learned about sustainability, teamwork, and the importance of giving back to their community.
In honor of Earth Day, the experience also reflected HWIS’s commitment to environmental stewardship and was dedicated to Coach Mary James, with a moment of silence in her memory.
💚 Thank you to all staff who made this day possible.

It was a true honor to welcome Roberto García González from Spain’s Ministry of Education 🇪🇸✨
His thoughtful engagement with our students and faculty brought to life what we believe deeply—that language is not just something we learn, but how we connect, think, and understand the world.
On United Nations Spanish Language Day, this visit reaffirmed the importance of developing bilingual and biliterate students in Spanish as part of preparing globally minded leaders.
We are excited to continue building this partnership and expanding meaningful opportunities for cultural exchange 🌍

We are proud to celebrate 8th grader Israel James, as he heads to Riverdale Country for high school this fall! Known for his strong academics, thoughtful character, and genuine connection with others, Israel earned admission to several highly selective schools—including his first-choice specialized high school. We can’t wait to see how he continues to grow and lead in the years ahead. 🌎✨
