Back in October, our president, Sammy Cousino, had the opportunity to present her research at the Sustainable Fashion Consumption Symposium at Yale University.

Her paper, “Caring is Cool? Teen Vogue’s Pledge to Address Fashion Waste,” explored whether Teen Vogue’s 2025 commitments can shift Gen-Z consumption norms through new competences, materials, and meanings around fashion waste.

It was an incredible chance to connect with students, academics, and professionals who are shaping the future of sustainable fashion. We’re excited for the collaborations and conversations ahead!

Our first event of the semester brought together Impact Fashion, the Circular Economy Club, and Women & Sustainability for a hands-on mending workshop. We shared repair techniques, swapped stories, and reflected on how caring for our clothes connects us to each other and to the planet. Feeling inspired, and reminded that repair > replacement, always.

Back by popular demand, join us for an immersive tour of a New York City garment factory, where you'll witness the various stages of garment making, from design to manufacturing, and gain insights into the vibrant world of the NYC fashion industry.

We’ll begin with an educational chat led by our special guest, Irene Mak, a long-time technical designer and professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), followed by an exclusive tour of the factory.
