Project Pawn LLC Project Pawn is a New York City based organization that aims to educate and mentor inner city youth through the game of Chess.

Using chess as a metaphor for life, our goal is to help people strategically plan their future; enabling them to start with the end result in mind and work backwards to their current position. Ultimately, mastering the “game of life” and reaching their personal milestones. Our organization is positioned to harness the influence of mentoring, mainstream media, education, and pop culture along with the fundamentals of chess to reach our target audience.

District 75 is a specialized, citywide New York City school district dedicated exclusively to serving students with significant disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders, emotional challenges, and multiple disabilities.

Most people count D75 students out. They doubt them.

All students in our community deserve a chance to display their brilliance.

PS 96 - The Richard Rodgers School of the Arts is a school prides that itself on excellence, collaboration, social emotional success, and community.

Working along side an organization that’s aligned with parallel core values, it’s been a joy for Project Pawn to partner and become part of the Wolfpack.

From the zealous approach from the students, the support from the families, the ex*****on from Principal Joan Vetere & Assistant Principal Rosanna Rubino, and the mentorship from coach Oscar, we created a chess culture within the Wolfpack.

Thank you for believing in a MBE organization from the same community in which it serves.
