Last week, students from NYU SWiTCH and the Sony Audio Institute participated in an intimate masterclass led by renowned artist and multi-GRAMMY-nominated producer 🎧✨
As our first-ever Artist-in-Residence, Alissia took the time to listen to student demos and mixes, offering thoughtful feedback and sharing insights from her own creative process and production techniques.
We’re thrilled to have her guiding the next generation of producers, engineers, and creators throughout the year.

What an incredible evening with multi-GRAMMY-nominated producer, writer, and multi-instrumentalist , our first-ever Artist-in-Residence with the NYU Sony Audio Institute. Last Friday, she led a panel and shared insights on her creative process, what it means to be an artist, and the music industry overall 💜🎶
Reflecting on the experience, Alissia stated, “Speaking to the NYU students today was such an incredible experience. As the first artist-in-residence at the Sony Audio Institute, I’m really encouraged by this community’s passion and curiosity. Sharing my journey as a musician, producer and artist with the next generation of producers, engineers, and creators reminds me why mentorship matters so much. If I can help inspire just one person in that room, that’s everything.”
Huge thank you to for moderating, and to our inspiring panelists for sharing their insights on creativity and the music business:
• Gloria Kaba – Producer, Engineer & Mixer
• Susannah Karron – General Manager, Park Avenue Artists
• Skye Landgraf – Director of Partnerships & Programs, We Are Moving The Needle
We’re grateful to everyone who joined us and can’t wait to continue these conversations throughout the year.
