We’re cooking with you, NYC. 🌶️
Join us Thursday, May 28 at 6 PM for a hands-on Indian cooking class at 74th Street Culinary Kitchen — and the best part? Every ticket gives back 58 meals to local kids through City Harvest’s Share Lunch, Fight Hunger initiative.
Together we’ll make three mains, sides of cucumber raita, radish chutney, and warm naan — with house wine if you’d like a glass. You’ll go home with a pack of masala to keep the night going.
We started moji masala because we missed the Indian food we grew up with and wanted it to be simple, fast, and full of joy. Spending AAPI Heritage Month cooking with our community, in NYC, while feeding kids who need it? That’s everything. Seats are limited. There’s a moment that happens in every home kitchen. 🍳
You follow the recipe.
You use the “curry powder.”
You do everything right.
And still—something’s missing.
Here’s the part no one really tells you about Indian cooking 👇
It’s not about mastering 10,000 hours.
It’s about starting with fresh spices. 🌶️
Our founder’s mom—Moji—can turn a simple pot of vegetables into something so fragrant the neighbors would knock on the door. 🚪👃
Not because of complicated techniques.
Because her spices were alive. Ground often. Used generously.
We spent two years reverse-engineering that magic.
What we discovered changed everything:
✨ Freshness isn’t a detail. It’s the whole point.
That’s the difference between
“this tastes good” and
“wait… THIS is what Indian food is supposed to taste like?”
Less than an hour.
One pot.
A kitchen that suddenly feels alive again.
