Math Star Systems

This is an update about my tutoring business. In my 13 years of tutoring students privately, I have tried my best to understand that life happens. I've tried my best to understand things happen. Please let me know as soon as possible if you cannot make it, whether we are supposed to meet in person or online.
Those who know how I work know that tutoring online is harder than tutoring in person. This process includes creating the worksheets, emailing the worksheets, and confirming that they were received. Let's not talk about Zoom limiting my online time to 40 minutes. All of this has led me to do virtual tutoring on Microsoft Teams.
With everything I have to do for tutoring virtually, it shouldn't be a surprise that it becomes very frustrating to make all these preparations, only for the student to be a no-show. My main focus for Math Star Systems has been to help students. However, this is one of the situations where a saying is true: Time is Money! As of today, I will adjust my tutoring agreement to include the following; if a student cannot make a tutoring session but doesn't tell me, there will be a $25 fee. After three no-shows, your tutoring will be terminated. Communication is key if you don't want to deal with this fee! A simple text, email, or phone call would suffice.

I'm back! I will be in the 3rd annual Not My Eyes Fashion Showcase on April 6th. This is not for everyone I know, but that's okay. For one thing, this is one of the few ways that I have fun nowadays. Secondly, it's for a great cause. As some may know, although I was born and raised in the Bronx, I am of Jamaican descent. For this reason, I am excited that the proceeds from this year's fashion show will benefit the Jamaica School for the Blind.
The fashion show will take place on April 6th at the Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel in Flushing, NY.
