I’m excited to share that my book, From Laid Off to Liberated, is being relaunched.

I wrote this book because I know firsthand how painful and disorienting job loss can be. Through my own layoff experience—and through coaching professionals navigating career transitions—I saw how deeply layoffs can impact confidence, identity, and direction.

I wanted to create a guide that was both honest and hopeful: one that acknowledges the stress and grief of job loss while also helping people see that this difficult season can become a turning point.
From Laid Off to Liberated is about rebuilding after a layoff—with practical guidance, real stories, and encouragement for anyone ready to move from uncertainty to reinvention.

My hope is that this book helps readers feel seen, supported, and empowered to create what’s next.

If you or someone you know has experienced a layoff, I hope this book offers encouragement, clarity, and a path forward. Stay tuned.

I need your help, please!!

A layoff lasts minutes for a company—but it can stay with a person for years.

Layoffs are more than a business decision—they are deeply personal experiences that people carry long after the conversation ends.

If you’ve been laid off, what do you wish your company had done differently to help you feel informed, respected, and supported?

Your experience matters. What was missing in that moment—communication, clarity, compassion, dignity, or support? Your voice can help companies understand the human impact and do better.

If you’re open to sharing, please add your perspective in the comments and repost this so more leaders can see it. The more we listen to those who lived through it, the better companies can handle layoffs with care and humanity.
