On the proud occasion of India’s Independence Day, Prof. Dr. Madhu Krishan, Chairman of the American University, was honored to hoist the Indian National Flag as the Chief Guest at Manipal Hospital.

The occasion was made even more meaningful with the release of 20 high-tech ambulances dedicated to providing free emergency and medical services to those in need.

As we celebrate the spirit of freedom, let us also reaffirm our commitment to service, compassion, innovation, and nation-building.

Prof. Dr. Madhu Krishan extends his warmest wishes to all Indians around the world on this historic day.

🌍 International Seminar at the United Nations Headquarters, New York

The American University USA Inc. (AUGP) proudly hosted the international seminar “Establishing Global Peace for Sustainable Development – Role of SDG-17 Partnerships for the Goals” at the United Nations Headquarters, New York, on 7 July 2026, commemorating the upcoming 250th Anniversary of American Independence. Convened by His Eminence Prof. Sir. Dr. Madhu Krishan, Chairman & Chief Chancellor of AUGP and Chairman of UNUGP USA, the event brought together distinguished diplomats, academics, faith leaders, and global partners to advance dialogue on peace, education, sustainable development, and international collaboration.

The seminar featured keynote addresses by eminent global leaders, including H.E. Ambassador Dr. Carlos Garcia and H.E. Ambassador Dr. Lester Sandres Rápalo, highlighting the transformative role of UN Sustainable Development Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) in driving global progress. During the programme, Dr. Madhu Krishan was presented with Official Proclamations and Citations of Honour issued by senior New York public officials in recognition of his lifelong humanitarian leadership. The event also celebrated outstanding nation builders through the presentation of Honorary Doctorates and the Human Excellence Golden Award to distinguished international leaders.

The seminar concluded with a renewed commitment to strengthening global partnerships for peace, education, and sustainable development. As Chairman of The American University USA Inc., Prof. Sir. Dr. Madhu Krishan reaffirmed the University’s mission of building a more peaceful and sustainable world through academic excellence, humanitarian service, and international cooperation.

🏛️ A Proud Moment for The American University USA Inc.

His Eminence Prof. Sir. Dr. Madhu Krishan, Chairman & Chief Rector of The American University USA Inc. (AUGP) and Chairman of The United Nations University for Global Peace (UNUGP), USA, was honoured during a series of prestigious civic ceremonies across New York State for his lifelong contributions to humanitarian service, education, scientific advancement, global peace, environmental stewardship, and international cooperation. Among the recognitions were Citations of Honour from the New York State Assembly, the City of Albany, and the Schenectady County Legislature, the Schenectady Police Medal of Honour, an Official Proclamation from the Mayor of Schenectady, and the historic proclamation of 1 July 2026 as “The Day of His Eminence Prof. Sir. Dr. Madhu Krishan” in the City of Schenectady.

These distinguished honours reflect the global impact of the University’s vision of advancing education, research, humanitarian development, and peace-building. The international goodwill programme also celebrated civic leadership through the presentation of the Human Excellence Golden Award to Albany Mayor H.E. Dr. Dorcey Applyrs, reinforcing AUGP and UNUGP’s commitment to strengthening international friendship, collaboration, and service to humanity.

Receiving the honours, Prof. Sir. Dr. Madhu Krishan humbly dedicated every recognition to Almighty God, stating: “All Glory belongs to Almighty God alone. These honours are not merely personal recognitions but a testament to the power of serving humanity with love, compassion, and integrity.” The American University USA Inc. congratulates its Chairman on this historic international recognition and remains committed to its mission of transforming lives through education, peace, and global service.

The American University, USA, in collaboration with the International Human Rights Commission (IHRPC), commemorated Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s birth anniversary by creating awareness on constitutional rights.

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Indian Constitution, dedicated his life to promoting equality, justice, and the rights of marginalized communities. His vision continues to inspire generations to uphold democratic values and constitutional principles.

When Faith, Prayer, and Purpose Bring a Man Back to Life

The American University family recently experienced a moment that none of us will ever forget.

Our Chairman, Dr. Madhu Krishan, had just completed an important humanitarian mission across Africa, sharing a message of peace, education, and global unity. Before returning to the Headquarters in the United States, he made a brief stop in Bangalore, India, to spend some precious time with his family.

But in the early hours of 25 February 2026, at around 1:30 AM, everything suddenly changed.

Dr. Krishan suffered a massive heart attack and was immediately rushed to Manipal Hospital.

Inside the Cardiac Cath Lab, the situation quickly turned critical. A Code Blue was declared.

For nearly 20 intense minutes, doctors fought to bring him back. CPR was administered, life-support systems were activated, and the medical team battled relentlessly against time.

In that moment… the world prayed.

By what can only be described as God’s grace, supported by the prayers of thousands and the extraordinary efforts of the doctors and nurses, a miracle happened.

Dr. Madhu Krishan came back.

Today, he is recovering well, walking again, and steadily regaining his strength.

What moved everyone around him most were his very first words after recovery:

“The mission must continue. We still have work to do for peace and humanity.”

This moment reminds us that true leaders are not defined by power or position, but by purpose, courage, and faith.

The American University family expresses its deepest gratitude to:
• The dedicated doctors and nurses of Manipal Hospital, Bangalore
• Friends and well-wishers across the world who stood with us in prayer
• Everyone whose support became a source of strength and hope

This was more than a medical recovery.

It was a powerful reminder that a life devoted to serving humanity is strengthened by faith, compassion, and collective goodwill.
