LL&M Great Debates brings together faculty from leading hematology-oncology programs to take on the treatment questions that still do not have one clean answer.
Across lymphoma, leukemia, CLL, and myeloma, these faculty will not just review the data. They will defend different approaches, challenge assumptions, and work through how evidence translates when patient factors, sequencing, toxicity, access, and treatment goals all matter.
We are grateful to the faculty joining us from New York and are looking forward to seeing them bring their clinical reasoning into the room.
Join us June 27–28 in New York City or July 25-26 in Dallas for LL&M Great Debates.

One month remains to submit an abstract for LL&M Congress 2026.
Accepted abstracts will be presented onsite in the new in-person poster hall this October in New York City, creating opportunities for direct discussion with hematology-oncology clinicians, researchers, advanced practitioners, and multidisciplinary care teams.
Abstract categories include:
• Acute Leukemia & MPN/MDS
• Multiple Myeloma
• Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia
• Lymphoma
Accepted abstracts will also be published in the American Journal of Hematology and may be eligible for Congress Chair recognition.
Submit by July 15, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET.

Cancer survivorship is not defined by one moment, one treatment milestone, or one story. It reflects the lives patients continue to build during and after cancer care, supported by families, caregivers, and clinical teams.
At Lymphoma, Leukemia & Myeloma Congress, we want to take today to recognize the people behind every diagnosis and the continued work to improve care for all patients facing cancer.

Adding venetoclax to hypomethylating agents has generated real interest in higher-risk MDS but improved response rates are only part of the story.
There are still questions around durability, toxicity burden, and which patients are most likely to benefit. Should venetoclax be incorporated routinely, or reserved for a more selective approach?
Dr. Yasmin Abaza and Dr. Anand Patel bring opposing perspectives to this evolving debate, examining how risk features, tolerability, and treatment goals should drive the frontline decision.

June is National Cancer Survivor Month.
This month, we recognize cancer survivors and the many different experiences survivorship can bring, from life after treatment to ongoing care, uncertainty, strength, and hope.
We also recognize the families, caregivers, and clinical teams who support patients throughout the cancer care journey.

For years, autoSCT after salvage therapy was the standard for transplant-eligible relapsed Hodgkin. Brentuximab vedotin and PD-1 inhibitors have made that standard worth debating.
Dr. Lisa Roth and Dr. Elif Yilmaz will debate whether novel-based, transplant-free approaches are ready to become the new standard or whether autoSCT still provides durability that no other approach can match for select patients.
A rapidly evolving area with real consequences for sequencing and patient counseling.

BCMA-directed therapy has produced some of the most impressive response data in relapsed myeloma. The question at first relapse isn't really whether these agents work but whether deploying them early is always the right call.
The “standard for all” argument is compelling: BCMA-targeted therapies deliver high response rates, and delaying treatment can mean some patients are no longer eligible by the time they’re available. But the decision is far from straightforward. Prior CD38 exposure can meaningfully affect eligibility and outcomes. CAR T access and manufacturing timelines remain real constraints. And using your most active therapies early may limit options later, raising important questions about sequencing and long-term disease control.
Dr. Krina Patel and Dr. Prashant Kapoor will work through the evidence on both sides covering sequencing logic, durability data, access considerations, and where individual patient factors should drive the decision.
