Gooooal! FIFA World Cup now has citywide food and drink specials. From June 11 to July 19, restaurants across all 5 boroughs are serving special $26 dishes celebrating the cultures represented in the tournament. Think: Little Senegal, Little Brazil, and beyond...

Last Thursday, we concluded our Spring 2026 session and, as is our tradition, gathered around our chalkboard to reflect on the words left behind by each chef at the close of their class. Every evening, we ask our chefs to leave us with something meaningful — a thought, a lesson, or a reflection inspired by food, hospitality, and life. Over the years, these handwritten sentiments have become a cherished part of De Gustibus, capturing the spirit and passion that fill our kitchen night after night.

As we looked back on this season’s collection of quotes, a few in particular truly resonated with us. Here are some highlights.

Join us as Executive Chef Emily Yuen of Michelin-starred Yingtao — a 2025 James Beard Best Chef: New York semifinalist (and previously at Lingo) — leads us through a contemporary interpretation of Chinese flavors, honoring tradition while redefining what Chinese food can be.

WHAT: This evening is a greatest-hits tour of Chef Laurent Tourondel’s celebrated rustic-chic Italian fare, featuring dishes from his acclaimed establishments, L’Amico and Sag Pizza. The evening includes a 4-course chef's demo and dinner, plus recipes, paired drinks, access to the chef, and more!

Bon Appetit ran a feature story on HAGS proclaiming it a “revolutionary new q***r fine dining restaurant. We’re delighted to host both Justice (chef-co-owner of HAGS, Michelin Young Chef NY winner, and James Beard Award nominee) and wine director-co-owner Camille Lindsley (who was included in the Wine Enthusiast “Future 40” list of 2022). Together, they will focus on vegan creativity, recentering vegetables, and moving beyond fake meats.
