A southern belle, a true Capricorn, a 3-time HBCU graduate, a lover of flowers with a passion for fashion and an obsession with 90’s sitcoms. I’m a native of Darlington, SC, a small town that most people have never heard of, however, I’ve made it out and made my parents proud along the way. I currently work in higher education and my passion has always been for helping young people find their way. As a hard-working, modern millennial woman, I’m trying to find my way in this ghetto hood they call adulting. I’m a lover of Jesus, a dog mom, somebody’s fine auntie, an author, a faithful sister, friend, and daughter. & in my mind a world-class interior decorator. 2025 had layers
Tears were shed. Laughter was uncontrollable. Love was experienced.
A new city. A new job (the big boss). A new home.
Got my dream car and totaled it- Still Standing
Loss weight and gained it back 🥴- Still Fine though 💋
Perspectives shifted. Faith deepened.
Some people were released. God drew closer. Life got honest.
I lived. I loved. I let go and let God.
2025 was cool.
I’m grateful and ready for what’s next. Hello 2026 ✨♥️

From Son of Birmingham to the next generation of leaders—During the 2025 Conference, I had the honor of moderating a powerful conversation with Mayor Randall Woodfin of Birmingham, Alabama.

We pulled highlights from his book to explore how his personal journey shaped his future—and how HBCUs are shaping the leaders, innovators, and changemakers of tomorrow.

It was an amazing opportunity to connect his story to the broader mission of education, workforce development, and community impact. Thank you to UNCF for creating the space for these transformative conversations.

Big News!

I’m incredibly honored to step into the role of Executive Director & CEO of HBCU CARES — a coalition committed to advancing the mission, impact, and innovation of Historically Black Colleges and Universities across Alabama and beyond.

Grateful to have been chosen to lead such a purpose-driven organization. I’m eager to serve, to collaborate, and to push boundaries as we work to empower students, strengthen institutions, and build lasting legacies.
