NIDC Youth- Prep for Success

Last night we had a our culminating event for Prep for Success at World Cultures. We had such a good time eating, laughing in the twilight at Morning Glory Garden. I'm going to miss you guys!!

We spent sometime trying to learn how to ride a bike. We will conquer our fear!!

Yesterday we paid a visit to the garden and put in A LOT of work. Lots of things are growing and many beautiful upgrades are being made.

Int he neighborhood, we came across a "learning mall". There were signs explaining how the water works happen in NYC. So interesting!

Yesterday we took a trip to BMCC.
and after, we had....
Congratulatory Ice Cream!!
It's been hard going, and a lot of steps, but we are FINALLY done!
College here we come!

We went to visit Morning Glory Garden again, this time things were a lot greener! We help w**d, plant and test the soil. Can't wait to come back next week.

This past Saturday, a few of us went to Union Square to spend some time people watching. These stairs have been used as a meeting space by teens and young people for decades. We joined a couple of pick up games and made new friends.

On Tuesday, Prep for Success at World Cultures high School continued our discussion on the best way to "leave our mark".
