Stop by LHM Committee's tabling tomorrow from 3-6PM to enter their raffle!

Due to increasing COVID restrictions on campus, the LHM committee decided it was best to cancel LHM Opening Ceremony planned for last Wednesday. As a committee, we want to continue the legacy of LHM and continue to celebrate Latinx identities on campus in any way possible. Therefore, the LHM Committee will be tabling this Friday, October 8th, from 3 PM – 6PM, alongside members of Casa Latina, a Latinx-centered residential special interest community on campus.

Come meet the members and learn more about Casa Latina and LHM! We will be raffling off 1 $50 gift card AND 5 $15 Grubhub gift cards for students to order Dominican food at Tropical Sensation. You can also stop by to enter our raffle in which we will be giving away two beautiful art prints! It’s going to be good vibes and good music. We hope to see you all there!

Hola todxs! We are super excited to start a bi-weekly book club this semester! The mission of Café con Leche is to create a space where our community can come together as we are spread across the country. We are also very excited to have Latinx faculty members joining us!

To start off, we will be reading Open Veins of Latin America by Eduardo Galeano. We chose this book given its expansive and compelling narrative of the history of Latin America. The book is also very easy to access online for those without a hard copy.

Please fill out this form to help us gauge interest and determine a time for us to meet! https://forms.gle/Afghwe1ra4xgt8J86

Can't wait to meet y’all at Café con Leche. Un abrazo!
