The Couples Lab at Columbia University

Do you want to participate in research about relationships in older adulthood? Would you and your partner like to receive $75 each ($150 total) for 90 minutes of your time?

If you answered “Yes” to either of these questions, you may want to participate in a PAID study with your Romantic Partner about how couples communicate.

Researchers at Columbia University are seeking healthy couples ages 60+, who meet eligibility requirements, for a study examining communication and interpersonal relationships among older couples.

It's been a while 👀 since we last checked in with y'all so we thought we'd re-introduce ourselves! 👋

We are The Couples Lab 👨‍🔬👩‍🔬 at Columbia University, and we are interested in understanding dyadic processes, especially those that are evoked during stressful experience 😓

We look not only at romantic couples 💑, but also at friends 👭, unacquainted partners, roommates, and family relationships. Overall, we look at how people support each other 🥰 both effectively and ineffectively. We want to learn how to maximize the effectiveness of supportive behaviors 🧠.
