Classroom Highlight: Under the caring guidance of Dr. Randall Allsup, the class Composing Collaboratively has served as a laboratory for musical experimentation. Over the last two Thursdays, students presented their original compositions, and their performances opened spaces for experimenting with notes, words, emotions, and meanings. Congratulations to all the performers and thank you, President Bailey, for your kind support!

Voice Pedagogy invites Heather Davis Cuevas, M.A., CCC-SLP, to join and speak about speech care for singers and teachers. She is the senior voice therapist at the UNC Voice Center, specializing in voice disorders and the care of the professional voice and former student of Jeanne Goffi-Fynn!
Heather received her Master of Arts from the University of Maryland College Park, where she was recognized as the 2014 Outstanding Graduate in Speech-Language Pathology. Her professional interests include adult and pediatric voice disorders, care of the professional voice, singing voice rehabilitation, treating Parkinson’s patients, swallowing disorders, accent modification, and facial nerve injury rehabilitation.
