Cold Cold weather is headed our way, and safety is our top priority!

Limit your exposure to the elements by dressing appropriately - several layers work well to help control varying periods of exertion and rest

Frostbite is dangerous if not treated properly! Warm hands may be placed on the area and get into a warm space as quickly as possible. Warm water is best for re-warming.

Know the symptoms of hypothermia: shivering, muscle tension, fatigue, and an intense feeling of cold or numbness

Remember the cold will slow down how quickly you can perform even the simplest tasks. Pad your schedule accordingly!

Equipment can also suffer from exposure to the cold. Keep equipment in sealed cases or bags and allow plenty of time for it to come to temperature. Batteries may be kept in a styrofoam cooler with hand warmers to prevent premature draining. Poke a hole in the cooler for the power cable to pass through.

As summer heats up, the Production Office wants to look at the notorious summer blockbuster phenomenon.
