Hello planners,
Join UPSA and OCS for the Spring 2020 Internship Kickoff! This activity and networking opportunity bring together students from older cohorts and OCS to share resources and experiences at the moment of looking for an internship. The event includes students who have been/are working in the fields of housing, transportation, and environment, among others. Exponents will discuss their internships, give tips on "tackling the search", and share their insights.
Refreshments and food will be served.
Date: Thursday 02/13 from 12-2 PM.

Hey planners!
Interested in transportation careers? Want to know more about the field? You still have time to RSVP for our transportation and transit panel!
One of our panelists will be Bill Harrison, NYU- Wagner Alumni and former transportation chair of UPSA.
He is a Special Projects Coordinator in the Traffic Operations Division at New York City Department of Transportation (NYCDOT). Through his work at NYCDOT, he is helping create a safer, more efficient, and more equitable road network for all users. He manages several pilot projects on the cutting edge of traffic signal and street lighting technologies and conducts research and outreach on worldwide best practices in the field.
Bill obtained a Bachelor of Science in Science, Technology, and Culture from the Georgia Institute of Technology (2011) and a Master of Urban Planning from Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at New York University (2019). Prior to his work at NYCDOT, he was a civil engineer working in site development and infrastructure at AKRF, a leading planning and engineering firm in the New York Area, where he contributed to multiple large scale private developments and public space improvements.
