A targeted, creative, and innovative approach to education enrichment. #stemclubspirit

NYC STEM Club was founded in 2015 by a NYC parent in Battery Park City with the goal of making quality STEM education available to neighborhood children. We quickly realized that the existing Department Of Education (DoE) prescribed curriculum followed in NYC's elementary and middle schools are inadequate in preparing the children for the increased rigor form high school onwards, and for the globa

Zack headed to Berkeley Engineering! 🐻💙⚙️

Some students are motivated by grades. Zack has always been motivated by understanding.

From the very beginning, what stood out about Zack was not just his intelligence, but his genuine hunger to learn. He was never interested in simply memorizing information or doing the minimum required. Instead, he constantly pushed deeper — asking bigger questions, seeking clarity, and genuinely wanting to understand how things worked.

What makes Zack so special is the excitement he brings to learning. He approaches difficult concepts with curiosity, persistence, and real joy. He is the kind of student who lights up when faced with a challenge and who pursues knowledge not for recognition, but because he truly loves the process of discovery itself.

Beyond his academic talent, Zack is thoughtful, dedicated, and deeply authentic. Berkeley is gaining a student who embodies the true spirit of curiosity and exploration.

We are incredibly proud of you, Zack, and cannot wait to see where your curiosity takes you next. 💡

Meera headed to Wellesley College 💙

Little did she realize that her early nudge would help shape a whole new part of what NYC STEM CLUB would become. Working with Meera as a second grader was part of what led us to grow into serving elementary school students in the way we do today.

From the beginning, Meera was all heart — kind, grounded, and deeply attuned to the people around her. Even in 3rd grade, she was someone we could count on—stepping in to help, taking responsibility seriously, and quietly looking out for the younger kids. She has always had a calming presence, a natural instinct to encourage others, and a dry, wry sense of humor that lifted people at just the right moment. A true girls’ girl, she shows up for those around her with consistency and care.

It says everything about her that she chose volunteer work with children and underserved communities over paid internships. She hopes to become a lawyer one day and advocate for those whose voices too often go unheard.

Now she’s off to Wellesley—and to Boston, her favorite city—for this next chapter. We’re incredibly proud of the young woman she’s become, and can’t wait to see the impact she makes.

If we had one word to describe Olivia, it would be dedicated. Whether it was leading her dance team, pursuing her passion for business, or showing up for her community, Olivia has shown us that great excellence is often steady, thoughtful, and deeply intentional (with many witty jokes along the way).
That dedication is exactly what earned her a spot at Michigan Ross, one of the top business programs in the country. It’s a testament to who she is and who she’s becoming: the kind of person who makes you pause and think more carefully, who reminds you that the details matter, and who shows up every single time. We could not be prouder of her and the hard work she put in to get here.
Go Blue! 💛💙

Mira Gupta headed to Georgetown! 💙🐾

Brilliant, thoughtful, and deeply intellectually curious, Mira is the kind of student whose academic strength is obvious from the moment you meet her. But what stands out even more is the person she is.

Quiet yet powerful, Mira has a steady presence and a real strength of character. She is deeply kind, fiercely loyal, and the kind of person who shows up for the people around her. She has a big heart, strong convictions, and a natural instinct to advocate for what matters.

Mira is one of those rare young people who is not only exceptionally bright, but also clearly wired to make a difference. We have no doubt she will be a changemaker in whatever spaces she enters and for whatever causes she chooses to fight for.

She plans to study Economics and Sociology at Georgetown, a choice that feels so fitting for someone drawn to both ideas and impact. As Mira put it, she chose Georgetown for the opportunities that Washington, DC will provide, along with its great academics and vibrant community and campus life.

We are so proud of you, Mira, and are wishing you a college journey filled with growth, purpose, and people worthy of your heart.

Asha knocked this one out of the park💙🥎 Tufts ED!!!

Whether it was through her dedication for soccer, softball, or mixed martial arts, she’s always shown us that she’s been a star on and off the field.

One of our longtime kids, Asha started with us in 2nd grade and is now part of our Grade 12 graduating class, which makes this moment especially sweet.

Asha is hardworking, fiercely self-advocating, deeply dedicated, and self-motivated, yet funny, and lighthearted!

To land her dream school through ED, in such a competitive admissions climate, at a school so well known for the path she hopes to pursue in the medical field, is truly amazing.

Asha is the kind of person who makes the people around her want to do better. She makes us want to show up, try harder, and do right by every child we work with. We believe in her as much as she believes in us, and we could not be prouder.

Go Jumbos! 💙

Congratulations to our Cornell Engineer! ❤️🤍
We are so incredibly proud of this remarkable young woman who will be pursuing Mechanical Engineering at Cornell

She has always stood out not just for how bright and articulate she is, but for the way she carries herself: steady, sincere, organized, thoughtful, and exceptionally mature.

She never waited for opportunities to come to her. She sought them out, took initiative, explored experiences independently, and handled herself with a level of professionalism and responsibility well beyond her years.

We know she will continue to excel wherever she goes, not only because of how smart she is, but because of who she is.

So excited to cheer you on as you join Big Red. ❤️🤍

Congratulations to our Posse Scholar! 🏆🤍
Boat has been with us since third grade and we have always known him to be a natural leader. His warmth, sincerity, and energy have made him the kind of person people naturally gravitate toward. His presence was even more needed post pandemic, when real connection felt harder to find. So when Boat earned his full-ride Posse Scholarship to Lafayette, we were incredibly proud but not at all surprised.
Out of more than 17,000 nominations nationwide, and after three grueling rounds of interviews, only about 700 students were selected. Posse looks for students with academic strength, leadership, and the ability to build community and transform the campuses they join.
They saw what we have always seen. Congratulations Boat, we can’t wait to see what you do next!
Go Leopard! 🏆🤍

We are so excited for Sobha, who’s heading to Oberlin on a merit scholarship. Sobha, who had many possible paths to consider, chose what felt true to who he is. He chose a college that matches his spirit: community-centered, rigorous, and sporty.

And with Sobha, we’re celebrating the whole Magon crew. The Magons have been with NYC STEM CLUB from the very beginning. It truly feels like generations of Magons have been part of our STEM Club family: three boys, plus cousins from across the country.

We have adored getting to know the brilliant, soccer-obsessed, and academically fierce Magons over the past decade.

Sobha, keep being the amazing kid you’ve always been. Keep choosing your own path, no matter how many “great options” the world throws at you. We are SO proud of you ♥️💛

🎉An especially proud moment for NYC STEM CLUB. 🎉

Our student Veer is headed to The University of Chicago! 🏛️✨

Veer’s been with us since elementary school—spunky, endlessly curious, always pushing boundaries and asking the bold questions. No magic potion. Just steady, intentional progress, year after year.

And this one is extra special for us: his family is our “first family” — the one who believed in us early and helped open the very first doors. We’ve truly grown up together. ❤️

Veer, UChicago is getting a real one. We are beyond proud.

Grateful

High school admissions don’t have to be confusing — it’s not about one “best” test.
It’s about optimizing your child’s options.
SHSAT, TACHS, and ISEE each open different doors, and the right strategy can help students maximize every opportunity.
Our placement tests and consultations give families a clear plan to tackle the right exams with confidence.
