๐ง ๐ฆ ADVANCING SCIENCE, INSPIRING FAITHFUL MEN ๐
Please join us in congratulating Monsignor Farrell alumnus and Biology Teacher Mr. Anthony DeCaro โ20 on earning his Master of Science in Neuroscience and Developmental Disabilities!
After earning a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience with minors in Chemistry and Psychology, Mr. DeCaro conducted research at the College of Staten Island examining proteins involved in early human brain development and their potential connection to Autism Spectrum Disorder.
His graduate research at the New York State Institute for Basic Research in Developmental Disabilities (IBR) focused on investigating seizure induction and propagation while analyzing gene expression changes associated with epileptiform behaviors.
As a proud Farrell alumnus and dedicated member of our faculty, Mr. DeCaro embodies the spirit of lifelong learning, intellectual curiosity, and service. We are grateful for the knowledge, passion, and mentorship he shares with our Faithful Men each day, inspiring the next generation of scientists, healthcare professionals, and leaders.
Congratulations on this outstanding achievement! Your Farrell family is proud of all that you have accomplished and the example you continue to set for our students. ๐ฌ๐งฌ๐

FAITHFUL MEN TEACH THE NEXT GENERATION OF HEALTHCARE HEROES ๐ฉบ๐ฆ
Student leaders of Monsignor Farrell High Schoolโs Medical Education Development Institute (MEDI), Elkan Christian and Aiden Munoz, had the opportunity to participate in Career Day at The Space Shuttle Columbia School, PS 58R! ๐
In true Vir Fidelis spirit, Elkan and Aiden spoke to 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students about careers in healthcare while leading hands-on demonstrations of basic lifesaving skills. Students practiced CPR techniques, airway-obstruction removal, and even learned how to use a stethoscope to listen to their own breath sounds. ๐ซ๐ฉบ
Through leadership, service, and mentorship, our Faithful Men proudly shared their knowledge while inspiring the next generation of future healthcare professionals. Thank you to Elkan and Aiden for representing the mission and values of Monsignor Farrell High School with excellence! Thank you to MEDI Director, Ms. Palazzo for organizing this great opportunity ๐ฆ

๐บ๐ธ ๐ฆHONORING THE FALLEN. REMEMBERING THE SACRIFICE. ๐ฆ๐บ๐ธ
Recently, our Faithful Men had the profound privilege of visiting Arlington National Cemetery โ sacred ground where generations of American heroes have been laid to rest.
Walking among the endless rows of white headstones is a humbling reminder that freedom is never free. Each marker represents a life of courage, duty, sacrifice, and love of country.
For our students, this was an opportunity for reflection, gratitude, and perspective. A powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by so many brave men and women in service to our nation.
At Monsignor Farrell, we strive to form Faithful Men who understand the importance of service, sacrifice, leadership, and patriotism. May we never forget those who gave their lives defending the freedoms we enjoy today.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. ๐บ๐ธ๐ฆ

๐ฆ๐WELCOME HOME, MONSIGNOR NEVIN ๐๐ฆ
Today, Monsignor Farrell High School proudly welcomed home Monsignor Emmet Nevin, a beloved member of the Farrell Family whose decades of faithful service helped shape generations of Faithful Men.
Monsignor Nevin served Monsignor Farrell High School in numerous capacities for more than two decades, first joining the faculty in 1980 before serving as Principal from 1992โ2002. During his many years at Farrell, he left a lasting impact on the spiritual, academic, and personal development of countless young men while helping guide the school through an important era of growth and transition.
Principal Larry Musanti and I had the honor of giving Monsignor Nevin a full tour of campus as he returned to see firsthand the continued transformation of Monsignor Farrell High School. From our state of the art academic spaces, STEM and business programs, and enhanced athletic facilities to the incredible expansion of student life opportunities, Monsignor Nevin was genuinely excited and inspired by all that he saw.
What was perhaps most meaningful, however, was seeing his joy in witnessing that the mission he helped strengthen so many years ago continues to thrive today โ developing the Vir Fidelis, the Faithful Man, in an atmosphere of Catholic faith, brotherhood, leadership, and service.
We remain deeply grateful for Monsignor Nevinโs enduring legacy, his years of leadership and mentorship, and the foundation he helped build for so many Farrell men over the years. It was a true blessing to welcome him back home to the Lions Den. ๐ฆ๐๐ผ
