🦁🇺🇸 AT MONSIGNOR FARRELL, “NEVER FORGET” ISN’T JUST SOMETHING WE SAY. IT’S SOMETHING WE LIVE. 🇺🇸🦁

Before our Varsity Football home opener against St. Peter’s, we took time to recognize and honor the heroes among us — our first responders and members of the United States Armed Forces, including Farrell alumni, parents, faculty, coaches and friends who have served, who continue to serve, and especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

For us, Never Forget must always be more than words. It means remembering their courage, honoring their service and sacrifice, and making sure the next generation understands the debt of gratitude we owe to those who protect our communities and defend our freedom.

Then it was time for football, as our Lions went on to earn a 38–0 victory over St. Peter’s.

A memorable night at Monsignor Farrell — one rooted in faith, gratitude, service and pride.

A special thank you to Director of Communications Greg Guastavino ’94, Director of Alumni Affairs Pete Kennedy ’12, and Head Football Coach Rocco Del Priore ’05 for their hard work and dedication in organizing such a meaningful event.

SEE YOU IN SEPTEMBER!🦁👏🏼

Our team has been working tirelessly all summer long to prepare campus for the return of our Faithful Men 🦁. From the classrooms to the gridiron, we’ve made major upgrades top to bottom to elevate the student experience.

You’ll see brand-new tilework flooring, updated glasswork, modernized offices, and fresh bathrooms across campus . On the athletic side, we’ve installed new field lights 💡, resurfaced and waxed the basketball gym floor 🏀, painted the track, and brought in fresh track and field mats 🏃‍♂️.

We’ve also enhanced safety with new safe gym door entrances and increased lighting across campus 🔒. Every single detail was crafted with purpose to ensure our young men have the best possible environment to lead, grow, and build lifelong brotherhood! 🦁💪

THE ULTIMATE ROAD TRIP! 🦁💪🏼👏🏼

A few hundred miles, a few states, and a whole lot of Farrell Pride!

What a way to spend a Saturday!

Along with Dr. Vincent Nabavi ’11 riding shotgun, I started the morning at Camp Wayne in Preston Park, Pennsylvania, before we hit the road and crossed state lines for Ocean City, New Jersey, to support our Varsity Football Lions in the Battle at the Beach! 🏈🌊

And the Lions delivered, earning a hard-fought victory over the Spartans of Holy Spirit High School! 🦁💪🏼

Over the past two days, I’ve had the opportunity to spend time with our Cross Country and Soccer teams at Camp Wayne, celebrate Mass together with Father Adolfo Novio, and then finish the road trip on the sidelines cheering on our Football team.

Different teams. Different fields. One Farrell. One Brotherhood. One family.

I could not be prouder of our student-athletes, their coaches, and the commitment, discipline, and pride they bring to Monsignor Farrell every single day.

GOOD DAY FROM CAMP WAYNE! 🦁

Along with Dr. Nabavi ‘11, I was very happy to meet up for dinner last night with our Cross Country and Soccer teams at Camp Wayne in Preston Park, Pennsylvania.

I am incredibly grateful to our head coaches, Ed Hynes ’82 and John Bentivegna ’13, and their respective coaching staffs for their mentorship, leadership, and sacrifices on behalf of our faithful men. Their commitment to our students extends far beyond the playing field.

I am so glad that our Lions have these opportunities to develop their God-given talents, build lasting friendships, and grow together as Faithful Men.

This morning, we were joined by our Monsignor Farrell High School Chaplain, Father Adolfo Novio, as we celebrated Mass lakeside with our Faithful Men. What a beautiful way to begin the day! 🙏

🇺🇸 FIRST RESPONDERS & MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT AT FARRELL 🇺🇸

We proudly invite all Monsignor Farrell alumni and parents who are active or retired First Responders or members of the United States Military to join us for a special on-field ceremony prior to our varsity football game against St. Peter’s on Friday, September 4.

🏈 Kickoff: 5:00 PM
📍 Coach Dennis Barrett Stadium

Alumni and parents representing our military, NYPD, FDNY, EMS, and other first responder communities are invited to take the field as we recognize their service and sacrifice.

Parents who participate in uniform will receive a complimentary ticket to the game.

We look forward to recognizing the members of the Farrell Family who have dedicated themselves to serving others.

HOW MANY LIONS DOES IT TAKE TO CHANGE A LIGHT BULB? 🦁💡

Apparently, an entire Farrell Pride!

We have completed many exciting projects across campus this summer, and we look forward to sharing more about each of them very soon.

Today, I even had the opportunity to lend a hand with one of the latest enhancements to Coach Dennis Barrett Stadium: replacing and adding to our stadium lighting!

Special thanks to all of our friends at Catello Electric, especially Dom and Adam for getting me up and down in one piece !!! 🦁🤣🙏

FAITH. BROTHERHOOD. FARRELL FOOTBALL. 🏈

I was very happy to make the ride up to Camp Wayne this morning to join our Varsity Football team as they celebrated Mass with our Chaplain, Father Adolfo Novio, and to have the opportunity to speak with these outstanding young men. We are especially grateful to Father Adolfo for making the trip and sharing this meaningful time of faith and fellowship with our Farrell family.

A heartfelt thank you to Head Football Coach Rocco Del Priore ’05 and his entire coaching staff for the tremendous sacrifices they make, taking time away from their own families to guide, mentor, and support their Farrell family at camp.

I am so very proud of our young men for the focus, discipline, passion, and brotherhood they brought to Camp Wayne. The lessons learned here extend far beyond the football field and reflect what it truly means to be a Faithful Man.

God bless our Lions as they prepare for the season ahead!

A great evening with my Farrell Brothers, coming together to collaborate, exchange ideas, and plot the course for the upcoming Monsignor Farrell High School Leadership Institute curriculum.

Different generations. Different professional paths. One shared bond — Farrell — and one common purpose: helping form the next generation of Faithful Men and leaders.

So grateful to stand united with these men — bound by brotherhood, shared values, and a commitment to giving back to the school that helped shape us.
