The “Asian American Experiences” 3 credit course is being offered for the Fall 2025 semester at CCNY.
Learn all about the history of Asians in America, the hardships early Asian immigrants endured, the achievements and contributions Asians brought to America, and the future and voices of the growing Asian American diaspora.
It is under Sociology, “SOC 31199” and will be offered on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:45 PM.

The CCNY Asian Alumni Scholarship Awards are given to inspire and motivate high achieving Asian-American students who have a record of service to the community.

TO APPLY YOU MUST:
1. Be a member of the ethnic group represented above & an enrolled/registered City College undergraduate student.
2. Be earning a minimum 3.2 GPA.
3. Submit an autobiographical statement in essay form (350 word-limit) including your involvement in college and/or community service activities.
4. Submit one letter of recommendation (can be from CCNY faculty or Credible External Affiliations).
5. Attend a personal interview via Internet.
6. Must be present at the 2025 Asian Alumni Lunar New Year/Awards Dinner on April 25, 2025 in Chinatown to receive award, if granted.
7. The winner will be expected to participate in Asian Alumni Group board meetings, at least semi-annually, and to join the CCNY Alumni Association, if a graduating senior.
