Since 2018, the West Side Community Fund has contributed over $1 million to organizations serving Chelsea, Hudson Yards, and Hell’s Kitchen. In 2024, Mouse received two grants from WSCF to provide AI and technology education to high school students in the community. We are grateful for their support and proud to be featured in their 2024 Impact Report.

K-12 Education Ecosystem & Partners!

Mouse is proud to welcome Ron Summers to the newly created role of Chief Impact Officer.
Previously CEO of Code Nation and Executive Director of CS4All at New York City Public Schools , Ron is a catalyst for systems change in K-12 education that provide computational agency and career-ready experiences for students.

Ron brings extensive expertise in the education and technology sectors from his 25 year career as a web developer, educator, and organizational leader. He has successfully driven measurable impact for students and cultivated partnership communities that foster innovation, growth, and sustainability.
Ron is a fierce advocate for equitable access to computational thinking, CS and AI education. He follows a modular-approach to building pathways to tech driven careers for students that is grounded in “exposure, access, and inclusion” at its core.

Ron believes that “our job is to create eureka moments for students that spark their imagination, provide them with future-facing fluency and skills, and deliver accessible on-ramps to economic mobility in a tech-driven world.”

As Chief Impact Officer, Ron will spearhead program innovation, our multi-year impact strategy. and the expansion of Mouse’s career-connected AI and CS experiences.

What a summer! 🏖 In partnership with Code.org, Math for America, Smart Start, and Microsoft, Mouse provided professional development courses to 217 teachers throughout New York City! This was our largest, most impactful series of summer professional development courses yet, and we couldn’t be more proud of all of the teachers who will take their new computer science knowledge back to their classrooms!

Congrats to the Academy of Innovative Technology High School for their first Career and Technical Education Expo! We were honored to be invited to celebrate all the great work that these high school students have achieved, and to receive an award for our technology education and mentorship initiatives.

From Web Design to Robotics to Human-Centered Design projects that better our communities, these high school students utilized fundamentals of our Design League program to showcase how they will become the next generation of diverse STEM leaders!

We are so excited to meet the city’s future tech leaders at the 2024 NYC CS Fair presented by Gotham Gives! This event brings together nonprofits, colleges, and corporations to meet NYC students.
